Amazing book! It is infuriating, saddening, And sometimes happy. I went through all the emotions in this book. I can‘t even put into words how much I learned and gained from this book. This should be required reading!!!

Read this for the second time yesterday! Loved it even more than the first time. It is a mixture between hilarious stories and a couple more serious ones. My two favorites the wainscoting war and take it from cats!

I have only read 2 poetry collections prior to this, so I was nervous to jump into this collection. But, this was so enjoyable, definitely raw and emotional poetry. Separated by sections like heartbreak, sadness and loneliness. I definitely would recommend!!

I don't know how my shelfs get so unorganized so quickly, I will be spending tonight and most of my day tomorrow cleaning my shelfs up!! Oh yeah! Do any of you littens have suggestions for how I should organize? I've always done alphabetical, or by genre.

Reviewsbylola I'm no help. I just toss em all on there haphazardly. On my upstairs shelves they are pretty much just all tossed up there. Downstairs I have them separated by TBR, read, and BOTM. 8y
Nking5025 @Reviewsbylola I have always wanted to separate my TBR books, but I feel like it will just make me feel guilty and overwhelmed because I have so many. 8y

I loved this book! I really enjoyed the realistic aspect of the changing family dynamic after losing a child. The only problem I had with this book were a couple things that occurred at the end. Still a solid 4 stars for me!!

Okay, I need some help deciding which one of these beauties I should start with!!! Any suggestions?! I start reading Books to get me in the mood for Halloween as early as I possibly can, so don't judge.

I think if you can separate this from the rest of the series you will enjoy it. I was personally completely satisfied with the finale of the series in the 7th book and was not hoping or expecting a true 8th book. I did enjoy seeing some of my favorite characters again, this book was more of a fan fiction in my opinion. I liked this but in a different way than the series. Basically it's hard to explain what I thought of this.

Whenever I come home to Kansas City I always go to my favorite bookstore. I love the book mess. I picked up a 1948 edition of I capture the castle and a couple books from the Cherry Ames series! All for 10 bucks!

Eastbriar May I ask which bookstore this is? I'm in the KC area but this place doesn't look familiar to me. Might need to add it to my bookstore route! 8y
Nking5025 It's Steel's Christian bookstore off swift in NKC. Don't let the name fool you though they have a lot of other books as well not just religious. You have to do major digging around but I've found a lot of older books there 8y
Nking5025 @Eastbriar what bookstores do you usually go to? 8y
Eastbriar @Nking5025 you are kidding! I live in NKC and I know the bookstore you are talking about! Small world 😊 I haven't been there cause I thought it was only religious books that they sold but I'll have to check that out!! 8y
Eastbriar @Nking5025 I love Rainy Day Books but if I'm really wanting to do some damage book shopping I like to go to Lawrence, KS and go to The Dusty Bookshelf (great used bookstore) and The Raven. I also check out a few thrift stores around the KC area, I've found great books that way! 8y

I actually really enjoyed this book. I appreciated the real ness of this relationship. It was not insta love, it was complicated and at times frustrating but that's what made it relatable and real. I'm not a romance fan but this real take on romance had me hooked.

Our book club of three decided on this for our first book! Really excited. Don't see how it could top The Husband's Secret though.

Suzze I have this on my shelf to read. Actually I think it is an advance copy. Guess it's not in advance anymore. 8y
MrBook It was excellent on audio. 8y
Nking5025 @MrBook I wish I could listen to the audio, but after many failed attempts I can't listen to an audiobook and stay focused. So frustrating 8y
MrBook I understand the frustration. Has to be a real mind-numbing task to provide me with enough opportunity to focus. 8y
Nking5025 If I don't do anything and follow along in the book then I can do audio, but I cannot multi task with it or I just won't listen. Might as well read which I can do faster then listening anyway. 8y

I need a couple good choices for a perfect book club book! Any suggestions?!

Suzze Love the dog. Not a new book, but the best discussion we ever had in 20 years of my group was for Sandra Dallas' The Persian Pickle Club. 8y
JessicaBates My book club really liked Fates and Furies, Parable of the Sower, Sula, and State of Wonder. 💜 8y
Nking5025 Thanks ladies!!! Yeah I've been wanting to read fates and furies since it came out, and the Persian pickle club sounds really interesting! 8y
MrBook Currently reading "Stone Mattress" also, except I have a feline watch me instead of a canine, lol. I run a few bookclubs. Popular books have included Mary Kubica's "The Good Girl", Douglas Perry's "The Girls of Murder City", and Jeffrey Eugenides' "Middlesex". 8y
Merethebookgal Some of my book club's recent favorites include: The Rabbit Back Literature Society, The Miniaturist, and Wool. These books have led to some great discussions! And we are currently reading The Name of the Wind, which I think we are all really loving so far. :) 8y

I'm not quite halfway through with this, but I appreciate the non-insta love component, and I love how the timing is always off for Alex and Rosie. It makes the story much more believable and much more relatable than most romantic stories!

Reviewsbylola I tried to start this a few months ago and could not get into it. I was so disappointed because I loved PS I Love You. 8y
Nking5025 I have heard many people say that, I started with this one because I knew PS I love you would probably ruin anything else by her. But I am still surprised I like this because I rarely read romance let alone enjoy it. 8y
