Book 5/50. Such an interesting premise, and the book was a slow, brilliant build up to the very ending. Rating: 4.5/5

Hey everyone! It‘s been a hot minute since I last used this. How‘s everyone doing? 😊

I didn‘t want to spam all of your feeds, so basically I will be catching up with my reviews of 2019 so far, posting one a day. So far, I‘ve read 33/50 books so yay me! And I‘m currently reading Happily and Madly, which is ok so far...nothing special. What are you reading? 😊

Book 1/50: The whole novel was a slow build up of emotion and tension until the very end, when all the pieces slowly come together. I really liked the whole vibe of the book, and the switching back and forth between Anna as an adult and Anna as a child. I was left almost satisfied with this book…I personally would‘ve liked a bigger “punch” at the end, but that‘s just me.

Perks of working in publishing: early access to books. “This Book Betrays My Brother” is actually a great book, despite its #YA label! I‘m so excited for everyone else to read it come the spring time! #ARC #diverselit #diversebooks

I‘ve been doing all my reading on my Kobo lately (and so has my friend for her library books). How do you read? #kobo #ereader #books

TheBookAddict Physical books, for some reason I can‘t stay focused when it‘s on device unless it‘s an audiobook. After I put an ebook down for the first time I forget its there or I just lose interest. 7y
Pamwurtzler 99% of the time on my kindle. It‘s a wonderful thing! 7y
mgallo1968 I am an old fashioned book reader and I do audiobooks when in my car 7y

Lindy Mostly physical books, and occasional ebooks downloaded from overdrive to my phone. Digital audiobooks are the main thing I do with my phone—I listen to somewhere between 10 and 15 a month. 🎧 7y
BookishMe Toggle between ebooks from Overdrive and physical books mostly from the library 7y
Karin1 Kindle and old fashion books. It doesn't matter, just give me peace to read :) 7y
ReadingMaria @TheBookAddict nothing beats the physical book! I‘ve always wondered about audiobooks though...so you feel like you‘re engaged with it, or does it sort of become background noise after a while?? 7y
ReadingMaria @Pamwurtzler haha awesome!! What‘s the other 1%?? 😊😊 7y
ReadingMaria @mgallo1968 that‘s the best way to enjoy a car ride, especially if it‘s a long one! 😊 7y
ReadingMaria @Lindy that‘s a lot of audiobooks! It must be so easy for you to beat your goodreads challenge! 😊👍🏻 7y
ReadingMaria @Karin1 totally agree with you! 7y
Pamwurtzler @ReadingMaria Physical books that are gifted, or borrow from someone. It doesn‘t happen terribly often! 7y
Lindy @ReadingMaria I do read a lot. Usually over 300 books a year (counting audiobooks). 7y
cathysaid Great pic! Welcome to Litsy! 7y
TheBookAddict @ReadingMaria it all depends on the books, I‘ve had 2 that just became background noise. But if I‘m interested and engaged I‘m definitely listening to it no matter what I‘m doing. I like to do puzzles, work on crafts, color, crochet, clean, or cook while I listen to a book. 7y
ReadingMaria @cathysaid thank you!! 7y
ReadingMaria @TheBookAddict ok interesting!! Definitely willing to try them out then! 7y
TheBookAddict @ReadingMaria does your local public library have Hoopla? If so you can borrow audiobooks from your library through Hoopla. I think overdrive might also have audiobooks, but I‘m not sure. 7y
ReadingMaria @TheBookAddict I‘ve never heard of Hoopla, so they might not have it...but overdrive definitely has audiobooks! 7y
TheBookAddict @ReadingMaria try one from there and see how it goes for you. Just make sure that it‘s something that interests you. 7y
