This was okay. Kind of dragged on and I found myself just wanting it to end. I didn‘t like the way they kept jumping from past to present. Meh, I wouldn‘t waste your time if you‘re thinking about reading it.

This book was infuriating to read. Don‘t get me wrong, I liked it. But the content had me fuming. Especially Maggie‘s story. I don‘t know, THE PAIN that was inflicted on these women by the men was something I felt so deeply while reading this. “Women‘s desires” is an interesting choice to describe the book. It read more like “suffering at the hands of men” but ok. Lots more I can say about it!

I tried so hard to like this book. Some of it was fun to read but most of it was difficult for me to get through. I‘m shocked at the amount of good reviews I‘ve read about this book. Maybe I just don‘t relate to it; not that McCarthy has made this book about anything a woman can relate to. Idk- sorry!

Been reading this one for a minute now. It isn‘t that I don‘t like it, but I think his writing style/cadence bores me a little. Which is wild because people seemingly love it. Also, I learned a new word: Polysyndeton. Which is what McCarthy‘s writing style is. Anyways, these cowboys are pretty funny and I am liking them.

When I first started this book I had zero interest in reading about Nesta. Now that I‘ve finished, I think she might be my fav character. Along with Cassian. I think I might have even liked this one better than Mist and Fury. 10/10.

I finished this book yesterday morning and I don‘t know what it is, but I can‘t seem to move on to reading another book. I‘m just so stuck on it and its characters. I think I‘m mourning… lol🤍 IDK WHAT TO DO.

10/10. I LOVED this book. I‘m not a chemist but I do have a degree in environmental science. I couldn‘t imagine what it would‘ve been like trying to get my degree in the year 1960. This is an important read that absolutely everyone should read. 💕

This book was so adorable. Initially went into it thinking it was going to be corny, lacking depth, with A LOT of spice. But it was surprisingly so much more than that. Loved itttt

Happy new year, readers! I read 27 books last year! Which is the most books I‘ve read in a year since forever ago. This year I want to read 30 (which was my goal last year, that I didn‘t reach. But it‘s ok!) I also want to take more photos of my books this year, which I used to absolutely love doing. So here‘s the first read of the year. 📚

Genuinely curious as to why there is no reviews for this book yet. Was a pretty quick read, not a very satisfying ending but I think it‘s supposed to be that way. 3.5/5 stars. I still think you should read it though 😊

I found this read incredibly infuriating. What was done to Britney is unfathomable and it is a miracle to me that she made it out. As a 90‘s kid, I absolutely loved her and her music growing up. Thus,I loved reading her viewpoint of it all. 🤍🤍🤍 In the words of Chris Crocker, LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE. Like for real.

I really loved this read. I found it illuminating. These kind of reads are so so important. It is so easy to dismiss a transgender person and claim them as “confused” or whatever the fuck people like to say. The reality is that most people have zero insight on what it‘s actually like and are far too quick to make a comment as if they do. Read a fucking book, as they say. (Read this book)✨

Spicy🥵 like, very. Confused as to why this was called a “hockey romance” by so many people. There was like 2% hockey in this book. And 98% sex. Not nearly as good as I hoped it would be. But still enjoyed it. I like my spice.😜

I‘m so glad I didn‘t let cancel culture convince me not to read this. I couldn‘t put it down. Straight up, people love to whine. I don‘t see how this book is any better or worse than so many other books I‘ve read- content wise. Don‘t listen to the naysayers- read it.

I read a lot of bad reviews for this book & I almost didn‘t read it but I‘m glad I did. I thought it was funny with some pretty okay writing. Also, very witty. It‘s not the greatest book ever, but I enjoyed it. Also, I think people are confusing hating the main character over the topic at hand, which is how people expect a woman to be and how it completely fucks with us all throughout life. You either get it it or you don‘t. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I liked this book better than In A Dark, Dark Wood. But, it was still just okay. I liked the ending, I will give it that. P.S is anyone else tired of the alcoholic, “mentally unstable” woman who witnessed something and doesn‘t get believed trope? lol

I really ate these books up so I can‘t sit here and say they are horrible. BUT ain‘t no way in hell would anyone ever be so supportive of a person playing a family‘s emotions like that. Belly is actually a terrible person. How are you going to be in love with both of the fisher boys? Girl bye that is CRAZY.

I really, really enjoyed this book. However, there was just so much that I feel could‘ve been left out. I read another review that said it is very “MFA” and I think I agree with that. A lot of it (but not all of it, which I felt was weird) read as a college academic research paper. But such good writing, and of course VERY important topics. I still think everyone should read it. I think I just expected it to be something it wasn‘t (I guess).

My heart aches for Jennette and I hope she‘s doing okay. I could not even imagine what it was like to grow up that way. Good for her. Writing this couldn‘t have been easy.

Initially, (first 50 pages or so) I found this book disturbing. But once it kicked in to gear, I actually adored it. A little odd, but it also strangely made perfect sense. And superb writing might I add! I feel like there is much more to say, but I think you should just read it!
