This was an unexpected 5 star for this month!
Loved this one!! Laughed and cried ❤️
I had such a fun time reading this book, it was thoroughly enjoyable
#LuckyInLove
These Katherine Center books each have #FaceBodyOnCover🪞 I‘ve read the tagged book, Hello Stranger is in my TBR & The Rom-Commers comes out in June. 💛💙🩷
Every time I read a book by Katherine Center, I say it‘s my favorite by her when I finish. I find myself saying that again, but I‘m sure I‘ll change my mind when I get to the next one. This book was excellent. Strong female character with a somewhat predictable ending, but broke the standards of most romantic comedies that you read. I loved everything - writing, story, characters and would love if she made it a series. I need more.
I LOVED this book. It was very cute and had me literally laughing out loud. Highly recommend. Someone pls give me more fake dating trope reads!!!
I‘m reading multiple books at the moment. Currently reading this one. It‘s good so far. I chuckle every now and then. I don‘t love it as much as I loved Things You Save In A Fire by the same author, but the book is okay. It‘s about a woman who works as a bodyguard. She‘s competing with her ex for a spot in the London location. She works as a bodyguard for a famous actor and is pretending to be his girlfriend to help her win the competition.
This was a pleasant surprise! Hannah is the bodyguard, who is protecting the celebrity, Jack. It has my favorite romance trope...fake dating, the characters are all likable, and it made me laugh. It was a quick and sweet read.
Fancy snacks for a pretty cover but can anyone actually see pictures?
Romance and action all wrapped in a tidy story that was so enjoyable to read
Katherine Center absolutely nails the rom-com with this book! I laughed out loud and cried and couldn‘t put it down. By definition, a rom-com is predictable but Katherine Center added twists that made this a next-level rom-com in my view. ❤️
Absolutely loved this audiobook and they role reversal of the bodyguard role.
This one I read from my #BOTM backlog list. Over all a quick, fluff read but the serious undertones helped elevate the book. I appreciated the humorous scenes and loved the characters. The subplot complimented the main story line and I was totally invested in the outcome. 4⭐️

I enjoyed this one but I didn't LOVE it. Part of the problem was that Hannah drove me a little crazy - I have trouble relating to workaholic characters, like seriously, who gets this mad that they can't go to work!? I also never completely bought the whole “Hannah is a badass“ aspect. I get that this book takes place during a season of emotional turmoil in her life, but she was constantly doing things that didn't make sense given her job. ⬇
I loved this way more than I thought I would.
Jack and Hannah's chemistry is perfect. The plot was so good, it was cute, funny, and a little emotional. Everything a "rom-con" type story should be.
It's a super fast read, I read it in a day. The book was entertaining the whole time.

One of my favorite Katherine center novels! This had plenty of snort worthy laughs and a loveable couple to root for. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved this! I want to read more of Center‘s books!
#bookspinbingo - this is my #bookspin for this month!
LOVE 💚 I literally kept sneaking chapters in during work! 🥹 so cute & fun & not forced/cheesy fake dating at alll. Also found it SO relatable to have a job that has one-sided closeness and no chance of contact after — it‘s the life of a therapist too! Overall, loved the story & need more from this author!
Katherine Center's books can be a little hit or miss for me (I tend to prefer my romance books with more steam ?), but I think this is my favorite of hers so far! If "closed door" or slow burn romances are your jam, this is a good one. I also loved that the HEROINE of this tale was the bodyguard ??
I put a hold on this YESTERDAY and it said there'd be a 14 week wait. So imagine the look on my face when I got asked to SKIP THE LINE and check it out for one week. Do I have a million other things to read? Yes. Did I still snag it when they gave me the opportunity? ALSO YES. I didn't even know "skipping the line" was a thing so I wasn't about to say no. My whole life may be a hot mess, but when it comes to books I seem to have a lucky streak ?
This was a cute book. The story was mostly fun with a bit of deeper content (with the main characters dealing with grief and some self-esteem issues). I wanted a little more of the MC at work on other cases just because i think being a bodyguard is fascinating. I had never read this author before but I will read more of her soon.
Fun and flirty and a bit ridiculous. The plot revolves around a woman in the midst of being dumped and losing her mom in the first week. She's also a bodyguard and her new job is to guard a hot movie star. Far fetched is a good way to describe it, but it was still a fun read. I was entertained even when I rolled my eyes. The heavy-handed message is: you are loveable, no matter what people tell you.
This was an absolute delight to read. It‘s a total rom-com (wow, I must be on a bender with those right now) and really funny and entertaining. A bodyguard who looks like a kindergarten teacher protects a movie star from a crazed Corgi loving middle aged stalker while he‘s home in Texas for his mom‘s cancer surgery. It‘s funny (the scene with the cows!) and thoughtful and the heroine is completely badass.
I‘m a glutton for punishment, but at exactly 3 minutes to 8am I decided it would be super fun to end #FabulousFebruary with a BANG, and try to cram in as many books as possible before I fall asleep tonight. All the errands and chores I have planned today can be completed while listening to an audiobook, so why not, right?
Hoping to finish 5 before midnight, and then start my 1st Sawyer Bennett for #BackListReadathon.

Thanks for such a great start to 2023 @Read4life @monalyisha !! #AuldLangSpine
I‘m excited to keep reading from your list! Let the fun continue…
What an utter delight! Probably my favorite Katherine Center and just my type of romance book (nothing too risqué). Both Jake and Hannah felt like three dimensional characters and their professions (a famous actor and a bodyguard) made for interesting situations.
At 7pm I decided I wanted to read one more book this month for a free space on my #bookspinbingo board to finally get a bingo. I finished it by bedtime! ? 17 books and only one bingo!?
I bumped this up my #TBR because it worked for a Kindle challenge I‘m doing & I‘m glad I did. It was fun & funny & a nice light change from heavier books & heavier times as my work is busy & health still not where I‘d like it to be which has me spending more time sleeping than reading. Hannah & Jack are great characters & Katherine Center books tend to give me warm & fuzzy rom-com vibes. It‘s a tad predictable but engaging & I liked the female ⬇️
I read this in two days while recovering from a cold on the couch. It is a cute rom-com with lots of laughs about a private security agent who heads up a job protecting a movie star while he is in town. Highly recommend for a quick read.
Just started this book, but it is already making me laugh out loud. Forget "It's not you, it's me." This girl's boyfriend just straight up tells her the problem is her: she is a workaholic, not fun, and a bad kisser. ?
#10 of 2023. The perfect book to read when you need a break from darker stuff. The two protagonists were so clever/incredibly good looking/funny that it should probably be labeled a farce! HEA of course - gotta throw in a romance every now and then!!
It was a hard week last week so I needed something I assume will end well so I picked this one up from the #auldlangspine list I got from @peaknit . It‘s delightful so far.
Hannah is a bodyguard who must pretend to be the girlfriend of the famous actor she is protecting, so his family won‘t know he is in danger. I enjoyed the slow burn romance!
What a wonderful romance! I really needed this! Katherine Center gave me ALL the feels with this one. I hadn‘t loved her book How to Walk Away, but this one was a home run for me. She made the premise - a Hollywood star falling for a non famous person - feel really believable. All of the dialogue and personalities were so well done, I didn‘t want it to end. **Swoon** !!
@Read4life thank you for this rec!!

I needed a cute, romcom and this was the right choice! If you‘re skeptical about a skinny but fit female bodyguard who‘s supposed to keep a larger than life hunky Hollywood heartthrob safe, you should be because she‘s afraid of cows and he lives on a ranch. I didn‘t say it‘s the perfect romcom, it‘s cute. The ending initially made my stomach hurt, but then it turned around. Book #2 in 2023
