What gave it away?
I ain't got the brains to make this up.

I didn't like a character as much as I like Jacob in a long long while!! #favoritecharacter

booksaremyreality Jacob ist einfach ein toller Charakter. Und das Zitat fand ich auch echt toll🙈 7y

Finally, finally, finally🎉 Believe me when I say: I'm SO EXCITED! I know I'm late, there have been a ton of posts about this book already... but since I watched the movie (loved it!) I was dying to read it (although the fact that it's a screenplay discouraged me at first). But just look at the cover...😍 Wish I could start reading at work! #canigohomeplease

So, I finally finished this one today🎉 It took me forever and I don't know why. I liked the plot, the writing, the characters... maybe I've just had enough of crime stories! #crime #jonesbo

I'm not quite sure why I like this quote so much. Probably because it reminds me of cotton candy?

What I read at work: magazines, magazines, magazines! For kids, for parents - everything family related 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👧👩‍👩‍👦 #research #corporatepublishing

scripturient Sounds interesting? What's your line of work? 7y

@scripturient 7y

"You always look so cool," she repeated. She had told him that she loved him, and Tom Buchanan saw.

Exactly what I expected: A quick and easy read, thrilling with a surprising end.
Maybe not his best one but... you can't go wrong with a Fitzek!

Isn't this the coolest #cover for a book called "The Package"? I loved every single one of Fitzek's books I've read so far and since the opinions on this one are divided I can't wait to start reading it myself ?

The plot was amazing and intriguing but I always felt it would have been possible to get even more out of it. The story sometimes seemed constructed and the character's emotions simple and repetitive. Nonetheless, I enjoyed reading this book. The third part was the most exciting! #christmasreads

Broken Harbor pulled me in from the very first page. Mysteries, complicated relationships... I wanted to read this book all at once. It never got boring or predictable. Definitely a page turner and one of the best #crimenovels I've read in a while! Superbly written!

Today it's Saint Nicholas Day in Germany🎅🏼 Children place one of their boots or shoes in front of the front door the night before and the next morning it's filled with sweets and maybe a little present from Saint Nicholas.
So here is one of my favorite christmassy #childrensbooks 👴🏼🐱 It's a series about the old Pettersson and his cat Findus. It's set in Sweden and the illustrations are just too cute!

Not my favorite Håkan Nesser but still a good one. As I mentioned before, it's not the typical crime story. It's more about the characters; their personalities, stories and development, than about the crime itself. So some might say there's too little going on. There were a lot of mysterious things happening to the main character and I was curious to find out who or what caused them. But in the end some questions remain unanswered.

Dass man alle und jeden anrufen oder anschreiben und im Großen und Ganzen eine unverzügliche Rückmeldung verlangen konnte.

🇺🇸When I looked up to that window I saw the face. It was pale, almost white, and belonged to a young man, who obviously watched us from up there. Absolutely motionless, so for a moment I thought it was a mannequin. But it was no mannequin. After 10 seconds of standing there and watching each other, he gently raised his right hand and did a very clear gesture in front of his neck. He moved it across his throat. The meaning was unequivocal. #scary

??Free translation: "I lit the two candles on the table. Lay down and thought for a moment. Listened to the whispering sounds of the rhododendron branches on the window sill. The wind had picked up. There were no curtains in the living room. If there stood a person or animal two meters away from my house looking inside, I would never know." What a scary notion!

After reading all five GoT books in a row, I needed something very different. So my next read will be a #crimenovel by the Swede #hakannesser in #German. I've already read a few of his books and loved them! A recommendation for everyone who does not want to read a typical crime story.

A Dance with Dragons | George R. R. Martin
post image

I didn't want to finish this book because: When will there be the next one? I feel like the story could go on forever with so many open lines of action. Will Deanerys reach Westeros? If she does, what will happen and what role are Connington and Tyrion going to play? And what about Bran, Jon, Arya, Sansa and Sam?
Even though I'm really looking forward to learn what will happen to Deanerys, my favorite parts of the series are set in the north!
