Today's book. Really good so far. Topic aside, she's such an enjoyable writer, I want to go find her novels now.

#bookmail ! These both look pretty nifty. I can't wait to dig in.
Book 2, out of this month's (hopefully) 10-Book goal. I thought I'd read all the Vimes books, but somehow missed this one! I'll hopefully finish it today.
The best way to read Harlan Ellison's endless moaning, is to have someone not putting up with that shit, one paragraph later
Reading this, volume one of a history of my personal religion. It's really good so far. It's also made me realize that I really want to read a biography of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez
Just finished this. What a strange, slow book, which refused to become less elusive as the ending approached. The power of the writing and characters kept me going though, and I really dug it.
I swore I was done buying books in 2016, and it proved exactly as true as we might have expected...
Books! Cats! A Guillermo Del toro themed blank notebook! A collection of Lucy Clifford stories! Merry Christmas!
X-Men are always politically relevant. But GOD LOVES MAN KILLS is particularly relevant in our current political climate, I think.
Drink up me hearties...
A very short book which, like a TARDIS, is a lot bigger on the inside than it seems. Very clever, albeit with lots of worrying talk about the future. Pardon me while I blow up the internet and hide in the hills now...
Volume 2 is as good as volume 1. Clunky in places, but really fun storytelling, and the sort of improbable-but-logical conclusion that only the Doctor would dream up. Really surprised at how good this story was.
The Doctor and the Enterprise-D team up against the Borg and the Cybermen. Such a stupid premise, but surprisingly well-written, faithful to both series' tones, AND the art is great.
Tonight's book is very small, but I've been really looking forward to it. The first line is "hand over the entire internet now and nobody gets hurt". How can it not be a winner?
An excellent, clever, very elusive sort of horror novel with a fascinating ending, and which really deserves a better cover than it's been saddled with here. Definitely recommended.
Excellent, clear book; mainly about depression, but with an occasional bipolar slant as well. Goes on my little list of "books I'd hand people if they need it"
An excellent quote, from a so-far excellent book
Just got an ARC of this (as well as Flash and Wonder Woman) and am so excited. To get into it. What I've read of Son of Superman has been the best Superman I've read in years and years.
Finished writing chapter 3 in MY book, now gonna read a few short stories and then dive back in.
Bunked off all my other reading for this, because I am such a fan. It's great so far, but I do think the book deserves a better cover than this.
"To admit authorities, however heavily furred and gowned, into our libraries and let them tell us how to read, what to read, what value to place upon what we read, is to destroy the spirit of freedom which is the breath of those sanctuaries. Everywhere else we may be bound by laws and conventions — there we have none." —Virginia Woolf
"Relive" implies I ever stopped. #harrypotter #yuleball
A wonderful book so far, lyrical and pulling, as it slowly guides you into the story chapter by chapter, until you're suddenly deep in. Really enjoying it.
If you can ever find a copy of Frankenstein illustrated by Bernie Wrightson, do so. Trust me.
Bought this for two bucks, and now can't stop reading it, because I am a total sucker for Hollywood history kinda books.
I hadn't realized til this big reread how much The Dark Tower books feel like just a straight channeling of King's subconscious storytelling brain onto the page, more than anything else he's done. Hence, I think, the surreal quality the books pick up. #DarkTowerDecember
"My advice to those who made read these pages is to shun literature..."
Today's book, because the idea of #DarkTowerDecember is too wonderful. I've never actually read the whole series, so it'll be fun.
Last novel for this class and...I just really don't want to read it. Not right now. Remembering why I'm so rubbish at literature classes and book clubs. Sigh.
Tonight's book! A very bookish running book, which is my jam. Makes me miss running, though.
This made me grin foolishly when I bumped into it, in the store
I love the idea of a plainclothes hospital staffer whose job it is to be NORMAL.
Wound up with the audiobook of this today, and am well pleased. Can't wait to walk somewhere tomorrow while Carrie Fisher (AND daughter!) talk brilliantly to me
A quote from Austrian composer Hugo Wolf, via Touched with Fire
Okay, I guess I'll buy just one...more...book...
Today's book, MORT(E), which I discovered via @Liberty , is one of those glorious examples of an insane premise, treated logically. It's really great so far. And the cover and binding is GORGEOUS
Devastatingly powerful and good. Excuse me while I go be heartbroken all over a mug of tea...
The audiobook I'm enjoying whenever I'm out walking. Countless time through it. Lenny Henry's reading is amazing.
This morning's read. From page one, it basically says "hello, I'm here to stomp all over your heart. Let's get started, shall we?" (Amazing book, though) (and BREATHTAKING movie trailer. So watch that.)
This week's class book is MAMA DAY, which I've read before and which is amazing. I recommend it especially if you were a fan of the movie BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD. They share some DNA.
If ever a week (hell, a MONTH) deserved to be followed by a bunch of Star Trek novels, it was this past one. Also on display here, my amazing bookmark skills. I should be on etsy.
When in doubt, crawl inside of a good book, pull the cover shut over you, and stay there...
#ReadingWithoutWalls
I keep compulsively returning to sneak a few more pages of this book, even though I REALLY need to read another book for a thing. It's just SO good. Makes me realize I REALLY need to read TAMPA
Also reading this tonight. Weird as hell, and it doesn't ease you into nothin', but it's good. Reminds me of THE EXPANSE, in some ways
Tonight's book, for that class I'm taking: KINDRED. I've, you know, heard that it's kinda well liked and stuff
Welll, goodbye other book plans for the night, and helloooooo Made For Love
