Only second book this month, but it's a page-turner and is good for a day off from work.

One even might say a "midnight sun," hmmm?
Ding! Variation on title within first three pages! Bell rung!
Remove the rock.
What I'm reading on a Friday off from work.
What I'm reading to start Lent.
Sometimes you just need to escape in some new noir.
Starting #24in48 with Walt again, but with optimism today. Yes, Walt, today, and every day, is something. We are now here "to bear our part" in this thing called life.
Writing was excellent; story, pretty good too. Not a fan of italicized flashbacks, though. First book finished for #24in48.
Starting #24in48 with Walt...in mourning. Seems to capture where I am one day later.
The pile so far for this coming weekend's #24in48 readathon.
Reading first part of trilogy after coworker recommended.
My Top 5 Reads of 2016. See post on blog listed on the profile.
Thanks to Secret Santa via @truebookaddict Bookish Secret Santa. While I am a BIG Bruce fan, my wife is a HUGE fan. Woo hoo! Can't wait to read too.
Six days later after saying I'd be reading this book, I'm actually sitting down to read it.
Looking forward to reading #deweysreadathon @DeweysReadathon prize, from @Rachel, @24in48 tomorrow afternoon.
Ending #thankfullyreading weekend with a classic. To be honest, I don't know if I have read before in entirety. Might not finish today but definitely will begin.
Second book finished for #thankfullyreading and it was a good one. Almost gave up, but glad I finished. A good page-turner.
Trying for second book of #thankfullyreading again. Already 40 percent done. A page-turner.
Couldn't get past what I perceived as "white privilege" or my own real class bias. #thankfullyreading
Starting today's #thankfullyreading with a happy drink: iced coffee with Rumchatta.
In the 21st book in the Harry Bosch series, Connelly has Harry juggling two cases. One is more interesting than the other, in my humble opinion, but they both were good enough for me to continue the book...and want to continue the series. It still is one of my favorite series in crime fiction, if not my favorite. First book finished for #thankfullyreading Weekend.
So which is it? Goodbye or good-bye? Even the author isn't sure...However, I gave him a pass and finished the book anyway. #thankfullyreading
Lots of choices for #thankfullyreading Weekend, which begins now for me. Plus Crocodile on the Sandbank by Elizabeth Peters on ebook.
A good page-turner. Worth the read. Other reviews I've seen have mentioned predictable; I guess I just don't read clues very well.
Continuing to escape from the week...in a dark, dark wood. Everyone has got a happy place. ;)
I hesitated reading this when it first came out because I didn't like the idea of somebody else writing Spenser besides Parker himself. However, after reading Atkins' Quinn Colson series, I decided to give this a second chance. I'm glad I did: a solid, though not great, Spenser outing. I probably will return to read more of Atkins' take on Spenser, but no rush.
First book since the #readathon. First book since...earlier this week. Ready to escape into fiction. Side note: I resisted this when it first came out because I was fearful of another author taking over such an iconic series. Since then, I have read Atkins and reconsidered. Fingers crossed.
This writer does like the poetic opening paragraph. Not that I am complaining. #readathon
Basically this is me today as it's raining outside. #readathon
