It was magical when you read his novel, feels like a symphony and melody came into life producing a music that never once in your life that you could hear through words. Paragraphs and pages are songs and chapters and characters are lyrics, like a music diving vibrant frequencies in our ears; the love stood shine in the heart of the audience – the readers, those who are broken, those who are in pain and those who are doubtful and they accept it.

Calamity | Brandon Sanderson

Pickpick

Brandon Sanderson taught me that there are different kinds of people, there are good and evil, there are people who are kind to protect your back and be by your side when you needed them. And then there are people who have principles in life — they do what they needed to do for they know what are their goal in life. Calamity is full of lessons, twists and unexpected turns of events. You want to grasp everything he wrote!

Black Moon | Romina Russell

Pickpick

Zodiac taught me to be brave, Wandering Star taught me to listen, and Black Moon taught me to trust myself more than others. Black Moon is intoxicating and manipulative in a good way. You will experience a lot of emotions and mixed feelings through your reading journey — you may feel hatred, or love, or fear but above all of everything. I assure you, Black Moon will teach you about life.

In This Life | Christine Brae
post image
Pickpick

It was an explosion of emotion, a steel made of tears and life. This book made me think how people accept things that could happen on their life. How they fight for the thing they wanted the most or how they continue on hoping that there will be light upon them. It was fantastical and divine. This book exceeded my expectations and this is one of those book that you can‘t define nor describe if the ending is a happy ending or not.

I was so excited and devastated while reading this book. I can‘t comprehend how a human emotion can eat your soul away and harness you to someone you didn‘t know existed upon you. I don‘t know but I didn‘t know that words can this be powerful to the extent that you could feel the pain, the sorrow, the confusion of a character. This is not a simple novel, this is beyond a masterpiece.

Mehso-so

Transparent and Exhilarating. Painful and yet healing. You Broke Me Open by Brynn Taylor speaks so much of her thoughts and it is so humane. It has compassion, determination, confident and positive outlook. I did enjoyed a lot of poems in her book and I could definitely relate to some of the poems.

Thornhill | Pam Smy
post image
Pickpick

Intriguing. Dark. Mysterious. Empowering. Thornhill is a book that I didn‘t expect it to be. It is escalated in two timelines. One from the present which is narrated through illustrations and the other one is from the past which is introduced as a journal or a diary. I was delighted that I got to read this kind of book because this is my first time reaching out in one of the genres that I refused to read since I‘m not really a fan of creepy things

Cora Carmack shows us that trusting easily and gaining trust are both fragile decisions when making a spontaneous decision but not all spontaneous are bad and sometimes they can also be good.

Victoria‘s writing style makes me captivated with her words and it flows easily through you. As if you are eating her words and slowly devouring her world. The flow of the story is amazing. I didn‘t expect that her books will exceed my expectations I thought. Even the simplest details are vividly describing. To fans of Fantasy books out there, if you are in a book slump or you are finding something worth it to read.

Bending the Universe | Justin Anthony Wetch
post image
Pickpick

Bending the Universe may look like an ordinary collection of poetry to you but I‘m telling you this as early as now that this book can change how you perceive in life – your mindset, opinions, and even personality may change – because I believe that this book does not aim just to share the adventure of the author or his personal feelings but also to make people stand up for what is right and for what they believe in.

Gambit | C.L. Denault
post image
Pickpick

It‘s amazing that C.L. Denault gives justice to the fantasy aspect of her book and I‘m really looking forward more of that on the second installment. I will definitely follow this author‘s novel. Gambit, from the title, is a move, where everyone takes risking decision, and it is entirely what our protagonist is. A tigress, a fierce and bold lady, an intelligent and gorgeous woman whose life is about to change.

An Ember in the Ashes | Sabaa Tahir

Pickpick

Manipulative, Stunning, Heart-Breaking and Threatening. This book completely exceeded my expectations. I‘ve never thought that I will be consumed by this novel in less than forty-eight hours and leaving me of wanting more. The story is destructive as its characters, you could sense the helplessness and the selflessness of the characters.

I could feel pain, tormented, and lost while reading this book. There is so much hope that is clinging on, there are so much past that has yet to be discovered and there is so much life to look forward to. Sabaa Tahir makes her readers believe that there are no chances even the slightest hope that you could hope for can be diminished instantly. In a glimpse, you will lost with her words that can bring you to another world of ashes.

Milk and Honey | Rupi Kaur

Pickpick

Raw, Beautiful, Empowering, Brave and Breath-taking. Milk and Honey is not your ordinary book. It is not a poetry to underestimate with. It tackles feminism and being strong at the deepest core of your feelings. It discusses love and surviving love by yourself. It is pure, enchanting and magnificent all at once.
