Frauenbild ist fragwürdig

This writer will break your heart. Beautiful humans with gutwrenching decisions to make. The despair is palpable. The trilogy follows a Bangladeshi family from the 1970s Revolution and separation of Pakistan to today. The granddaughter, a paleontologist, is incredibly independent but is still tied to tradition. Anam has brilliantly conceived an allegory of a precursor to today's whale to the connections of family stories. PLEASE SOMEONE READ THIS!

Delightful! 5 years after the events of the 1st book, Patrick takes his niece and nephew, Maisie and Grant, on a trip abroad. The final destination is Italy, where their father is getting remarried, but the kids want Patrick to stop the wedding. On the trip, Patrick tries to teach the kids about love, much like he taught them about grief in the 1st book, in the hopes that they will accept this new life change.

It took me a while to read this because I wanted to savour the beautiful writing , story telling and wisdom of Niall Williams. A wonderful story of life , love and happiness . The narrator was a joy to “ listen “ to.
This is one book I think I could listen to as an audio book.
A tale of a time in Ireland when things were simple but technology in the form of electricity was spreading .
A look at one small village . Insightful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

1) Oregon Beavers won the first game of their super regional today.
2 & 3) Tried my hand at strawberry freezer jam and we got a great smallish freezer to put them in.
4) My dad is having some health issues but endoscopy and colonoscopy came back fine. No firm answer yet but having colon cancer ruled out brings much joy.
5) Pippin‘s joyful greeting when I got home from my dad‘s.
