Boundless Books
Boundless Books: 50 Literary Classics Transformed into Works of Art | Postertext
15 posts | 10 to read
In this book, a picture is indeed worth a thousand words. Within its covers are 50 literary classics, deconstructed and then put back together word by word to create singularly beautiful pieces of art. The silhouettes that emerge from the text illustrate the central characters, landscapes, and themes of each story. This collection ranges across the canon, from 620 BCE to 1937. Bibliophiles will find many of their favorite reads as well as lesser-known gems to discover or rediscover. Each piece of art contains an entire text in legible type, so that, with the help of the magnifying glass on a ribbon marker, readers can enjoy both the striking images and the timeless words themselves.

I received my #postlit book today from @trazo She drew this bird on the front of the package and I loved it so much that I‘m saving it. It‘s just too beautiful to throw away! (I‘m fascinated by birds in general) I love WWII fiction so looking forward to diving into this one. (I can‘t reveal the title.) the bookmark is wonderful too. Thank you!

RebelReader @trazo I owe you a letter. I‘m on it this week! 😄 7y

I‘m throwing out some ideas, minus titles. If there‘s one that you really would prefer not to read, let me know. 1)YA story written in prose 2)Short stories: current writers retell classic tales 3)a suspense story with an 8 yr old as main character 4)gothic mystery/love story. Choices 1 and 2 have lots of writing room which may be good. My current mood has me leaning towards choice 3, but I‘m flexible.

aroc @Wife ooo I love this mystery! I like 1, 3, or 4! Whatever you are in the mood for! 7y
MrsGreen Out of these, 2 would be my least wanted. The rest sound good! 7y

@aroc @MrsGreen @Marmie7 Hi #GroupR !
Just curious about your genre preferences? I like most everything except SciFi. I plan to pull a book off my TBR shelf. I see other groups posting choices for their members. Do you want to do that or have a surprise book every month? I don‘t have a preference and I don‘t mind a reread if a book is chosen that I have already read. I‘m looking forward to this. It‘s my first book club on #litsy. Thanks @suvata

aroc Hi @Wife ! This is my first time too! I'm excited! I agree with your likes. I'm going to look at my the stack tonight and see what I have. 7y
MrsGreen Hi all! This is my first #litsy book club too! My fav is YA but I‘m open to a lot of stuff. I‘m a librarian :) 7y
Marmie7 The only genres I don't care for is romance and I'm not a huge fan of contemporary. I see you all are newbies to the litsy book clubs, this is my third😁 I've had great experiences on litsy and know this will be awesome too! @MrsGreen @aroc 7y
aroc I love YA too! This is going to be tricky to pick one! 7y

Book Outlet sale #1 Getting all these in frame was harder than it looks. I think I'd need to take multiple pictures to show all the covers clearly.

#bookishgift alert! This is a big, beautiful book of images made with the full texts of books shrunk into itsy bitsy lines. Each book has a two-page spread, with the text arranged in the shape of an image evocative of the book. It also comes with a magnifier, to read the minuscule font. A #bibliophilesdelight!
