My mom called earlier because she got her Ancestry DNA results back. That led to a conversation about my ancestors and she mentioned our ancestor who signed the Declaration of Independence. Um what??? This was news to me! She said she thought I knew. 🤷🏻♀️🇺🇸

I spent my morning at a retreat at my church. I spent my afternoon at a meeting of Tacoma Feminism at my library.
I got to exercise my right to life, liberty, & the pursuit of happiness in both my church & my state in one day.
I am so grateful to our founders for this. And I pledge to fight to preserve these rights for all.
I still love being American.
We were given paper at work to make our own Valentines Day hearts. Nailed it! (This photo does not properly show how glittery those white hearts are. My poor desk...)
Part one of #Bookmail today is this BEAUTIFUL copy of The Declaration and the Constitution! It has pictures of both and has all of the amendments! So glad we got this. I feel like everyone should have a physical copy at home. I love that they let you pay in payments if you can't pay up front as well. #EastonPress books are literally bound to last. The paper, binding, and gilded pages are all so that the book will be preserved! Love their books ❤📚
So, on Inauguration Day, we decided we should have a copy of our Declaration of Independence as well as the Constitution. #EastonPress literally binds books to last. They are costly, but genuinely worth it because they can be heirlooms that last for generations. Their edition cost $59 and I went to see when it would ship, and it turns out our next book from Greatest Books Ever Written subscription is coming, too! I am Really excited to get both ❤
My polling place is the pits and has no stickers!!😭 How will everyone know I voted?! Ah well, hopefully the election results will make up for it!
Getting ready for the upcoming General Election by reading through Washington's voters' pamphlet. My pocket Declaration of Independence & Constitution will help to guide me through this tumultuous time 👍🏼.
