pickI really enjoyed this book! Who wouldn‘t want to have a famous author aunt who leaves you letters that challenge you and encourage you to seek happiness and live! I also love Lottie, who struggles with her grief and anxiety, and her brother Sam, who is smart, sensitive and supportive. Her parents were a hoot, too... probably the coolest parents ever. This book is lovely, and a little magical, too.
Give me a book with letters and a character with anxiety and I‘m almost instantly sold. I loved this coming-of-age novel and how the character and story developed. Whimsical with a dash of magic and a pinch of romance = a very enjoyable story.
I know it's only 8:00, but we got a new mattress... so the furballs and I are celebrating #NationalCatDay with reading and cuddles in bed.

Started reading this today and laughed out loud with the characters on page two! Life has only allowed me to get to page 47 but it‘s Friday night and I might just stay up reading.

I adored this book. The Alvin series was such an ode to HP. I loved the references to Doctor Who. But what I loved most of all is how the characters felt so real. It was such an accurate portrayal of life, loss, and anxiety.

Another love letter to books and had a credible portrayal of an anxiety order. Also, the love of their Alvin Hatter series was similar to the love of the Fillory books in The Magicians trilogy (or everyone's love of Harry Potter).
It's like Words in Deep Blue meets Eliza and Her Monsters - both of which I loved. 😍
Also, I loved her brother Abe and his love of books even more than Sam.

Yay! My August Uppercase Book Box finally came! I've been waiting for what feels like an eternity...
I'm so happy is came!!
This month's book was Everything All At Once by Katrina Leno, and while I still have yet to read it, I have heard nothing but hype surrounding this book!
The goodies in this month's box were amazing. They included a gorgeous set of bookmarks, an amazing stainless steel bracelet, and a post-it pack!
Overall, five stars!!💛
