The illustrations throughout the book are very detailed and colorful as well. This book is a great way to discuss traditions in cultures. I really like the fact that the author uses English but also incorporates Spanish as well!

So we don‘t celebrated Dia de Los Muertos but my grandma had a little alter and celebrated. I remember having so many questions about it and practicing the celebration with her.

Nonfiction. This is a wonderful story for a classroom, especially if you plan on observing or learning about Dia fe Muertos. It‘s informational but feels like a story and looks like a picture book, making it a great read aloud story or a story for individual reading.

Can‘t vouch for these books, but they seem quite interesting. I think I‘m going to look for these so I can share them with my stepson. I figure I should try to teach him a bit about my culture and what better way than with books. For those of you trying to introduce kids to a bit of Mexican culture these books may be a good start. #diversebooks
