Fascinating social history of British domestic life as seen through rooms and the activities that went on in them. Almost every page has something that tempts you to read it aloud to anyone who will stay long enough.

Fortunately in the days before cigars and cigarettes 😱🧨

Sace I've been enjoying these quotes! I was pleased to find the audiobook on Hoopla. Yet another audiobook for the TBL. 😁 4y
rwmg @Sace There are a lot more I could have added. Something on almost every page. 4y

DAB With the advent of electronics, you can no take more than one book to be with you.

If walls could talk, mine would say “for the love of God and structural integrity, could you at least CONSIDER a book buying ban?”

I never really gave much thought about how the use of houses might have changed over time but this is super interesting.

Starting this as my #nonfiction for this month. I read primarily #historicalfiction so this should be pretty informative. #nonfiction2018 #history

Also if you look closely at the pet gate to the left, my orange "kitty" (he is 13)is making a rare appearance( Don't worry, he isn't locked up. He can jump the gate at anytime)#catsoflitsy

mcipher I want to be curled up in that bed!! What a cover. ❤️ 7y

I loved this book. I think this is a great little history of the home that everyone could enjoy. Lucy Worsley has a way to entertain her readers throughout her book. Can't wait to read more of her books. #nonfiction #history #lucyworsley

I've been listening to this audiobook while stitching. I wish Lucy had recorded the audio herself, but it's still a really fun and interesting listen. If you saw the television series, the book has a ton of material that the shows didn't cover.

queerbookreader Love it!!!!!!! I just started cross stitching a few weeks ago to make snarky feminist shit I love it 8y
candyflossramparts @lemonlime799 Thanks! I'm working on my next pattern design now. ✊️ 8y
