Sadly, so much of what he said is as relevant today as the day he said it. It‘s imperative that we study ALL the history of this man, not just the few pull quotes about love and brotherhood that get taught to schoolchildren because they seem non-controversial. #MLKDay #JanuaryJazz @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

JamieArc I somehow hadn‘t seen (or remembered) the second quote. I come from a “pick yourself up by the bootstraps” family and think about that saying a lot, so I appreciate seeing this. 1y
