This #TrueCrime was such a wild ride! I started to tell my husband about it, but he has agreed to watch the “Southern Fried Homicide“ episode of it :)

I woke up in the middle of the night because I can‘t stop coughing. I have had this really icky cough for 3-4 days but like where it hurts to breather :(
So I started listening so that I am more upright.
I loved that this book was written by the prosecutor because it was a new slant on a true crime book for me. The murderers wrote soooo many emails and many were written by Jenelle Potter's alter egos. It is hard to believe these woman were the masterminds of the murder of a young couple. I appreciated that Dennis Brooks explains the steps he went through for the trial in a comprehensible and logical manner.
This is a good one! The creepiness factor is similar to that of American Fire. Catfishing, emails, jealousy, and murder all put together for a stranger than fiction true crime story. I'm listening to this on audiobook #rightnow. #augustgrrrl
If you like true crime, you'll love this twisted and convoluted true story of a 30 year old woman and how she manipulates everyone around her, including her own family - to the point where they kill for her.
I did have a few issues with getting confused in the beginning, with so many names thrown at you right from the get go. That may have just been me not paying enough attention though ...
Apparently someone wants me to know it's time for an #audiowalk 🙄 less than an hour left in this one!
Okay today's walk wasn't as long because it was damp and cold and the grumpy old lady in my head was complaining louder than usual BUT I still went, so ⭐️ for me. The dogs never get enough, even when it's cold and rainy.
I'm finding this audiobook intriguing BUT confusing - the cast of characters are all over the place, and the author just threw them all at you in the beginning. But this family is seriously crazy!
Trying so hard to push myself to walk further, even on days like today when I feel meh and it's about to start pouring rain and sleet for two days. Finding that listening to audiobooks REALLY helps - instead of listening to my internal grumpy old lady voice asking how much further, I'm listening to someone tell me a story.
Finding this one a bit confusing so far, but the events are intriguing enough to stick with it.
I googled the phrase "too pretty to live" in hopes of finding information about a trope I've become interested in (any other YMRT fans out there?). I'm not sure if the book really includes the trope, but it sounds fascinating. I thought I'd put the call out for recommendations. Do you know any books--true crime, horror, whatever--that include the trope of a woman being attacked or killed because she is just too beautiful? Straight or subverted!
By far the craziest true crime story I've ever come across. Worth a read if crime is your thing. I listened to it on my commute and it made the traffic bearable.
