Went in just to see if they had a copy of Plainsong that I want to gift to a friend and I *almost* made it out with just the one book 🤣
On the way to brunch, I walked by a ginormous library book sale -- all books for $1, no matter the quality or condition!!!! And the staff allowed us to snatch up the books 30 minutes before the sale officially began! I will be post the books I couldn't resist when I get home.
The best part of my QBD haul is now I have the last sale towards my accrued credit, which means I have almost $75 to spend on all the new July releases that are coming from my favourite authors like Peter Robinson, Tess Gerritsen & Karin Slaughter! Yay!😊🎉❤️🎉P.S. sorry about blowing up your feed, I rarely have this much fun searching out book deals in the real world!😘
panI love Jilly Cooper, and I couldn't remember why I hadn't read this one...groan. Now I do. It's like an Agatha Christie on steroids, with a testosterone cocktail. Dreadful characters, turgid prose, and a completely unbelievable crime and police force. AC's books work partly because you never get to know anyone. With over 700 pages, you have time to loathe every single character. 😡. #mystery. #whodunit. #avoid
