Another “I‘m reading on the porch but will probably fail to concentrate” kind of day.

Finished this one off last night before bed. I‘m thankful that my anxiety is not nearly at this level, but I know for many people, it is. Whether or not you suffer from any level of anxiety, I feel like this memoir is worth the read. ♥️

Total time for #24B4Monday, #MrBook1inaMillion us roughly 4 hrs 25m. I‘m not bothering with the ⏱as I know I won‘t be able to read much. Spending time with my husband before he goes back underground for 2 weeks.❤️

Andrew65 That time with your husband is more important and still a great time given this. 👏👏👏 4y
Lynnsoprano Hubby is definitely priority. Mine deals with significant anxiety. This sounds like something I should read. 4y
WorldsOkayestStepMom I deal with high anxiety and should probably read this book as well as others that my therapist has suggested. But fiction is more fun and a great escape for me! Lol enjoy the time with your husband! 4y

Switching up the audiobooks again. 33 Men is just too emotional for me to fall asleep to. This is my bed time choice for tonight. I haven‘t had much chance to read for #24B4Monday so far... slightly over an hour before I crashed last night. Hoping to get in atleast 5-10 years this weekend, but honestly that‘ll even be a stretch. 🙈 Sad to be working for the next 6 weekends. #MrBook1inaMillion

Clwojick 🙄🙄🙄 Can you tell I‘m tired? 5-10 hours... not years. 4y
BBooks Idk 5-10 years of sleep sounds good to me 💤💤💤💤💤💤💤 4y
allureofbeauty How is this? Sounds interesting 4y

Andrew65 @Clwojick Ohhh! I was impressed but believed you could get 5 - 10 years in. 😍 (edited) 4y
Andrew65 Good luck you always impress me with all you do, enjoy your time away from the books. 4y
Clwojick @allureofbeauty So far its pretty good. I‘m enjoying, but could understand that it wouldn‘t be for everyone. It‘s dry at points, but you expect that with any autobiography. 4y

#LilithJuly The term #BasketCase was a slang word used in the 80‘s. It was often used to describe someone who was out of control with worry when a given situation had no solution. A bunch of years ago our bookclub read a memoir by a writer who suffered from crippling anxiety. It was poignant and funny, insightful and a really honest look at what it means to live with a social disorder. Very readable.

KarenUK Not familiar with this one at all.... but I am definitely going to share this recommendation with a friend who i know will appreciate this one... thanks for sharing 😍💕 5y
Cinfhen I thought the author did a really good job conveying the intensity and absurdity @KarenUK and his writing was really engaging 5y

I asked my cousin to recommend any books to me dealing with anxiety because I've been having a rough time with it lately and feel like I need something to read about it to take my mind off of what's giving me anxiety. She suggested this one and a few others. My gf ordered it for me today and I'm very anxious to start reading it. Has anyone else read this?

My current situation: When you read a few sentences in a book you just got and realize you have been in denial your whole adult life AND you, yourself, are a psychotherapist. Oh my! 😳

Suet624 Oh dear. This was quite the book. 7y
DrSabrinaMoldenReads Yea. I have to get myself ready to read it @Suet624 7y

That day when ALL THE LIBRARY REQUESTS come in at once. This is the problem with the library using multiple apps for audiobooks! I forget to track what's on hold where! Gah!

Sweettartlaura Down the Rabbit Hole on audio is fun! I recommend you get to this one first🙂 7y

As someone who has anxiety, I really did enjoy how he describes it. And he maintains a sense of humor throughout the book. Would recommend!
