pickShe Loved Baseball was written by Audrey Vernick. This book shares the story of Effa Manley, a young woman who loved baseball. She loved to watch Babe Ruth play. She became her own hero by becoming the manager and owner of the Newark Eagles. She is the first and only women inducted into the baseball hall of fame. I think that this book could inspire young girls to chase their dreams no matter what.
I got my recruitment letter today and I have been drafted to the Arizona Diamondbacks!! I am super excited to be part of this wonderful organization this summer!!
Rare is the day that I don‘t pick up a book, even for a few pages, but today was one of those days. We drove 3 hours to Port Charlotte to watch our alma mater, Ohio State, beat Seton Hall. Baseball is so much better live, and I don‘t regret the missed reading time.

I've had to stay off my feet today after getting a cortisone injection in my heel. I thought I would get a lot of reading done, but I haven't really been able to focus on anything.
