I adore this story even more with the annotations. Jasper‘s chapter was wild and crazy. I just can‘t help loving Laurie and Toby even more, especially with the little glimpses at the writing, inspiration, and background stuff throughout from the annotations. Toby‘s LMP recipe was hilarious. This edition is an absolute celebration of Laurie and Toby. It also promises a second book for them. I would adore that so very much!

He need to be able to sit and write without people gathering at the window or getting excited in a coffee shop because she went out to get some fresh air. Impulse buy based on a post about it on #OSRBC. Not the first time those ladies cost me 💵. May/December BDSM #romantsy with the younger man being dominant. Big age gaps aren‘t my favorite thing but it works in this story. The power dynamics and emotional complexities of the relationship turn a lot of tropes upside down. I had to force myself to stop reading because work. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Really fabulous.

If you need a sweet-but-very, very-hot m/m BDSM romance (edges toward erotica maybe?) this is for you. I loved the development of the relationship between Laurie and Toby. There‘s a 17 year age gap, so with the basic romance plot are some growing pains, old broken-heart issues, and complications that arise when the Dom is the younger and still working out how to go about his kink. (Toby is also a good cook, so be prepared for serious foodie envy.)
