Looking forward to a year of great reading ahead with #FictionalTraveler! My January selection is Mrs. Adams in Winter. I‘m excited to see what everyone else has chosen!

Tagging those who have expressed interest, but all are welcome. 😃
Considered a “foreigner” by the American people and a weak woman by her cold, scholarly husband, Louisa Adams nevertheless made a 40 day carriage journey from Russia through lands recently devastated by Napolean‘s campaigns. Upon reaching the German/French border, in a Russian carriage,no less, she found to her dismay she would be traveling the same roads as soldiers flocking back to Napolean, recently returned from Elba.
And people think kids have pressure now....
More book mail! I'm currently listening to a biography of John Quincy Adams and want to know more about his wife, Louisa. This book is an account of her solo journey to Paris from St. Petersburg in the path of Napoleon's army. 👓📚#itshistory #anditsaugust #bookmail
The family of Louisa Johnson Adams, wife of John Quincy Adams, was a little crazy. 22 kids and 20 sent to orphanage...😡
I am having trouble getting into this...so far Mrs Adams does not have primary voice and it is very irritating
