bailedThis is upsetting. I was really looking forward to this book but it didn‘t have what I was looking for. This is about a professor who is also a world class insurance claims investigator who does the major multimillion dollar cases. I was excited to see how this goes but it just seemed so unrealistic for how he solved things. Made it 30% through with even rechecking it out at the library.

Ever since binging through two series back to back I haven‘t been able to really get into anything. It‘s been about a week since anything has grabbed my attention and I‘m a bit nervous! pickProbably wouldn't have read this manga if not for posts by @RestlessFickleBookSlut and @RealLifeReading, so thank you! I found this absorbing and fun; the artwork is detailed and gorgeous, the stories compelling. The main character is an archaeology lecturer who moonlights as an insurance investigator; his previous training with the British SAS stands him in good stead in his adventures. Think of a more taciturn, less annoying, scholarly MacGyver.
pickFabulous art, great stories, lots of research and even some survival tips. Even if you think you don't read #manga, you owe it to yourself to try this series.
