I‘m tired of freezing downstairs at my house so new reading/tv/chill spot loading. I need a pillow and a blanket and to find my unused firestick and then I‘ll be set for the winter. Oh, and maybe a lamp.

AnnR Looks comfy! I need something like that for upstairs, so when the TV is on I can seek a quiet reading space elsewhere. 1y
ShananigansReads @Ann_Reads it came from Amazon. The bedroom it‘s in is pretty small so I needed something that didn‘t take up too much space. 1y
AnnR Oh thanks for letting me know it came from Amazon. 🙂 I also need something that doesn't take up much room and I can easily move around. I hope you enjoy your new reading area. Stay warm. 1y

... a reading corner, however small, is all that you need to feel like home ... 💕📚

Spent the afternoon setting up this reading corner for my 2 year old daughter. Her eyes absolutely lit up when she came downstairs after her nap. I love that she already has a passion for books ❤️

rmaclean4 So cute! 2y
StaceGhost What a great idea! My son likes to make up stories and dialogue to go with his picture books lol he says he‘s “reading” 2y
BookDragonNotWorm I wish I had one of those! 💙 2y

Abit of upcycling. Had a canvas and loads of scrabble letters so made this for the reading corner in school 😊📚🧡

HELP- ideas?
This is my reading corner- I love this rocking chair so much. I JUST found this end table someone was going to throw out and it‘s gorgeous! So I put it there- does it look ok? Above is our seashell board.
I‘m going to add a bright blanket, and my yarn basket in the back, I want to hang a quote or drawing on the wall. Something orange/bright! Any ideas? Anything else I should add or fix?

Redwritinghood Maybe a floor lamp? But really, if it works for you and you enjoy it, that‘s all that really matters. 6y
Amabear @Redwritinghood I think I‘m going to move my tiny table lamp to the side table! Great idea. 6y
monalyisha Love that chair! 😍 6y

This is my favorite spot to read in the winter. It's my "woman cave". Part office, part reading nook, part book storage, part exercise room. This chair looks at my desk which sits in front of a bay window so I can watch the winter weather while I read.

Congrats @callielafleur on your milestone #15KforCal!

MiyakoBunny I love it 😍 especially your pillow pouf 🌸 6y
callielafleur I love the ottoman! Did you make it yourself? 😍😍 6y

On holiday at a friend‘s bach in Pauanui. (That‘s holiday house for the rest of you) I finally get a reading nook! Now just to make this happen at home 🤔

JazzFeathers I'd so love to have a resding nook in my house. But l should find the space first... 7y
Centique @JazzFeathers me too. I‘m going to measure up my dining room. We got a smaller table recently so I think there might be room for an armchair next to my bookshelf. 🤞 7y
Jeg Lovely Bach. Better than the ones I remember from my visits to NZ and those of my friends. Ones I saw much more rustic! A step up from camping mostly. 😊 7y
Centique @Jeg yes! A traditional bach is very basic but people still apply the name nowadays to all sorts of holiday homes. Seems wrong to use it on the really palatial ones! Some of the old ones are cute - maybe not fun to stay in though 😋 7y
