Had to drop this one. I‘ve been working through it for literally years and there were too many stories I just didn‘t connect with. A few really good ones but I didn‘t feel like sorting through the last few.

Ugh. I decided to pick up another YA anthology, and even though there are sixteen stories in this one, I can‘t say I enjoyed any of them. #scarathlon #teamslaughter #cyoreadathon #october8in2

I encourage you to check out our latest episode, which focuses on anthologies. These are perfect for the busy holiday season when you need to be able to pick up and put down what you're reading . . . you can listen to our recommendations on iTunes, Stitcher, or Podbean. Also, head over to @unabridgedpod (on Instagram) to hear some of the outtakes from our recording session!⠀
Wow. This book is a dream! I‘m such a sucker for YA romance, and this collection is SO strong, with 16 amazing authors. If you‘re looking for a great, varied (sci fi, fantasy, contemporary, experimental) short story collection, I highly recommend this one. Excellent series of examples of the much-maligned love triangle.
Loved this collection of stories about love triangles even though I never considered myself a fan of love triangles. Some were sweet, some were subversive, most of them considered the love triangle in new & interesting ways. It really runs the gamut in terms of genre & style too. I especially loved the stories from Justina Ireland, Julie Murphy, Alaya Dawn Johnson, & Tessa Gratton. Definitely recommend for YA fans.
Just a typical morning recording a new episode of the podcast with @sebrittain
Today was a bit of a day, so here we are

I‘m not what I‘d call a frequent or good bookstagrammer, but was super excited that this pic helped me win an ARC box of Three Sides of a Heart! (Also aided by the fact that not very many people entered...) Interested to read the anthology of love triangle stories, it inspired me to highlight series w/love triangles in my pic.
I usually shy away from books with love triangles but THIS. IS. AMAZING. Containing elements as familiar as gas stations and kissing lessons to worlds that explore high school in Mars and monster-fighting librarians, each story frames a common YA device against richly-developed backdrops. It's inventive and moving and diverse and never feels like a cheat--one of the most rewarding short story collections I've read in a long time.

I'm working my way through the short stories in THREE SIDES OF A HEART (edited by Natalie Parker, coming this December) and I'm really loving it so far. Each story tackles love triangles from a different angle, genre be damned. I'm really excited to keep reading; if y'all like short stories, this better be one on your radar.
Zombies in 19th Century Savannah, high school students living in a futuristic community on Mars, vampires, and supernatural beings all turn up in this engaging YA short story collection that focuses on love triangles of all different forms. Intrigue and passion are also expressed in the handful of realistic, conventional tales, whose characters represent average American teens.
Today's #PrideRec prompt is #toread. My to-be-read is teetering, and despite doing a purge of some of the books yesterday, my queer stack stayed about the same. Here's a handful of recent and upcoming releases with queer characters that I really need to get around to reading. What's on your queer to-read pile?
I just found out about this or I would have posted this a few days ago for #feistyfeb #diverselovestories #lovetriangles! @RealLifeReading
"Zombies in the Civil War South. The girl next door, the boy who loves her, and the girl who loves them both. Vampires at boarding school. Three teens fighting monsters in an abandoned video rental store."
YES PLEASE! (Coming December 19, 2017)
