Since completing my courses I‘ve had a lot of leisure reading to catch up on. I‘d abandoned my books, especially cozies. I‘m getting back into them and started with this one. There‘s something about the main character that I don‘t always like, but she sorts that out eventually. Otherwise, I quite liked this one, and it‘s quirky characters. #ILoveCozies

Book 7 #cozyinthesun @Librarybelle @ferskner I read book 2 of this series last year and liked it but thought I should have read them in order. I was right. This one made me laugh a few times and developed some characters better. My son staged the photo, he enjoys helping me with my Litsy photos. The main character has a gourmet popcorn shop and is dabbling with chocolate popcorn recipes.

Just sort of meh for me. I didn't care for any of the characters minus the dog. The interplay in relationships felt juvenile at times, and the killer waS obvious from the first 10 pages. I liked the atmosphere of the shops and think I may try some of the recipes. Another hour in for #24b42019 .

Logged 1 hr 21mins last night for #24b4monday but it didn't post. I probably won't make it but I love participating. I definitely need these days away up north with just the hubs and the pups.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I've been introduced to a lot of cozy murder mysteries lately and this I'd one of my favorites. I really liked the main character and the storyline overall was enjoyable. An easy read you can fly through while sitting in front of a fire while its snowing outside.

This is my view for my birthday today and I'm utterly content with it. When I told Ryan I was taking my birthday off he asked me what I was going to do and literally the only thing i could think of was just to sit in this spot, read, and drink hot cocoa all day (at one point I thought maybe I'd bake all day just for the hell of it but then realized I'd have to go to the store and that was t happening haha). Here is to year 31. Cheers!

I knew I could find a cozy mystery based on my favorite reading snack. I love to pop my own popcorn on the stove with olive oil, so flavorful and tasty!

I know I say this a lot but I love a good themed mystery book and this one definitely did not disappoint! Such a fun read with plenty of red herrings and twists and turns! Will for sure be reading the next book in this new series!

I am very much looking forward to spending much of the day curled up with a good book and a cup of tea!
