So this prompt came up and of course my mind goes totally blank, and all I can think about is the book I‘m reading right now (it‘s pretty great and definitely a favourite of 2021). WHAT ON EARTH ARE MY FAVOURITE BOOKS?!

GingerAntics @JazzFeathers I‘m trying to figure out a few different possible ideas. I have one element of the plot for each, but none of the rest. I‘m also having computer problems, so I may have to write on my iPad. It will be interesting to see if I can do 50K on a touchscreen. 3y

Hey, friends! Is anyone else doing NaNoWriMo next month? I tried it last year, aaand I bailed on my project on like day 3. I have a project this year that I really want to see through. I'm wondering, how do you hold yourself accountable for the word goals? How does one even prep something like this?

Also, does anyone want to be buddies on the website? 🤓

Rachel.Rencher @cleoh Same! For me November means holidays, finals, my birthday, and lots of grading, buuut then I always fall back on those excuses and I need to learn to prioritize. 😂 I agree though, huge admiration to those who participate & doubly to those who finish! 5y

GingerAntics You could outline your story, or do some background research. It depends on your writing style. I‘m planning on doing it again this year, I‘m just not sure what my project is yet. I‘m GingerAntics on there as well. 5y

GingerAntics Usually, I am as well. Last year was my first time, and I made a family tree of my characters, to keep everyone straight. Then I did writing exercises with my characters, just to play with them. 5y

janeycanuck I helped a friend with NaNoWriMo a few years ago - she set her goals and I bought some little bottles of wines we both liked and handed them all over. If she met her goal, she got to keep the bottle for that goal. If she didn‘t, she had to give it back. She got to keep all but one, I think! 5y

I picked up this little keyboard case for my ipad mini so I can do some writing outside the house without having to carry a big laptop. Even though my hands are tiny, this will still take some getting used to. #nanowrimo #writing
