Ok so I have a confession to make. The reason I have gotten behind on reading is my mom wants to see the #DowntonAbbey movie for her birthday and I never watched the series before so I told her I would. I didn't think I would get into it, but dear reader, I binged all 6 seasons in 10 days. 🤫

Finished this one a few weeks ago and loved it. It is one of those books that you are sad to see end. I was so hoping there would be a follow up, but I don‘t think there will be. And the way Wax would describe the episode of Downton or even just the intro- gave me chills and made we want to rewatch the entire series!

Picked this one based solely on the title. 😊 It‘s a chilly, rainy day, so I am hoping to hunker down with this one!

This was the exact buffer I needed to break from all the intense stuff I‘ve been reading lately. Light, pretty predictable, and a neatly wrapped up ending. And of course, now I want to binge Downton Abbey!

Trying something a little different. I‘ve been reading a lot of heavy psychological thrillers lately - I need something upbeat! I know nothing about this book going in - I‘m pretty sure I grabbed it at a thrift store only because it had Downton Abbey in the title (loved that show). Let‘s see how it goes!

Picked up this novel, about a group of women who bond while watching Downton Abbey, at my local used book store. Was afraid the Downton Abbey tie-in would be a gimmick but it's a nice little story about friendship and looking beyond first appearances. The ending wrapped up a little *too* neatly for me, but it's still a fun read. Makes me want to binge the whole Downton series again! ❤️

Reading & watching Downton Abbey this Sunday morning. That Maggie Smith has the best quotes, & I found this one especially poignant this morning.

This was a sweet story, nothing to set the world alight but the 3 lead characters were likeable and I was rooting for them to get their happy endings. However, the talk of Downton has made me want to bingewatch the whole show from start to finish again!

Starting another read and ignoring the Christmas chaos that still reigns supreme in our house!! This could be awful, but I was pining for a Downton Christmas special this year!!!

Books are full of great friendships, but I really adored the ones in this book. Most friendships in books look at lifelong friendships but this one looks at what it means to make & keep friends as an adult. #booktober #favoritefriendships

Didn't like this one; the Downton Abbey tie-in did not work for me at all. The character development was totally on the nose. Each character had about 3 assigned characteristics that defined them up until the last couple of chapters, when all flaws were corrected just in time for the happy ending.

@Jediash1 @BookFreakOut I happened upon this while browsing at another book store. I think it's a sign. But not sure what the sign says, unless it's "Time for a Downton Abbey marathon."

Interesting blend of characters; I loved seeing how their lives intertwined over a shared love for Downton Abbey. I'll be honest, Downton being in the title is the only reason I started this one...I didn't have high expectations but I ended up loving it!

Downton Legacy tea, my favorite mug, and a good (so far) book? Good way to end this beautiful Sunday!

Getting ready to start a new one!

Trip to the local used bookstore resulted in two finds: a book about Downton Abbey and a book about Star Wars. Yep, that pretty much sums me up! ;)
