Corona-productivity: making babies! Lil' succulent babies! 🌵I've been procrastinating on this forever, but I have all the time in the world rn, so it's time to do the thing! 🌱🌱 Do I have room for these containers? No, I do not. Will I make room? Yes, absolutely. Babies!

NovelGirl82 That‘s so cool! 4y
Chelsea.Poole So cute! I try this but they usually don't make it 😔 4y
julesG Some???? Wow! I could do this, but what do I do with all the babies? 4y

okthislooksbad @julesG I didn't think it through at all so I'm... kind of hoping they don't all make it, idk what to do with them 😔😂 4y
okthislooksbad @Chelsea.Poole I've tried exactly once before and had no success, either. I'm optimistic, though. The odds are in my favour this time around! 😂 4y
okthislooksbad @NovelGirl82 Ikr, I'm very excited about it! 4y
Chelsea.Poole Good luck! 🍀 4y

This was the cutest book! I love how the author talked about the plants and their needs. The illustrations are wonderful too. 🥰

As you can see, my latest attempt at succulents was not pretty. I was hoping this book could help.

The advice in this cute guide is functional and easy to follow, but I have a hard time with words like “regularly” being used to describe how often to water a plant. Does that mean daily? Weekly?

With the detailed list of over- or under-watering warning signs though, I might just succeed next time.

LeahBergen I think you have a “black thumb of death” like I do. 😂 6y
Linsy @LeahBergen If only I had a picture of the one that molded... 😬 6y
BookwormAHN I'm not sure what kind of succulents you have, but I usually water mine once a week 😸 6y

Kalalalatja I have been there! Right now I‘m having a go at trying to keep my balcony plants alive. It almost feels like taking care of a child 😅😅 6y
PaperbackPirate Succulents!!! Good luck from a fellow succulent killer/carer. 6y
Leniverse I have an Easter Cactus. Finally got it to flower a bit this year (only on one side and long after Easter). I started watering it every day, and then discovered that the spouse has also been watering it almost every day. Clearly there is no overwatering this particular plant! 6y
Scurvygirl Um... huh. Water you say... are sure this isn‘t my daughter... the black thumb killer of all succulents ever! 😳💚💚😹 6y
Beachesnbooks I water my succulents about once a week and they are miraculously still alive! 6y
JanJan I only water succulents when the soil is very dry (like an inch down), and if they are in a window I rotate every once in a while to promote uniform growth. I don‘t have this kind though, so it may not be the care your plant needs 🤷‍♀️good luck! 6y
Linsy @Kalalalatja I would say it‘s harder, but I have a kid. Although, he does stay alive ... if only plants grunted at us when they were hungry! 6y
Linsy @PaperbackPirate @Scurvygirl Glad to know I‘m not alone! 🤦‍♀️ 6y
Linsy @Leniverse Only when you‘re married, right?! We have the opposite problem. 🤷‍♀️ 6y
Linsy @JanJan I just took a screenshot of your advice. Thank you!!! 🙏 6y
JanJan You‘re welcome! Glad it helped! 6y

Started #readathon at the plant nursery, buying plant children. As you do. Did get a few pages of Flavia de Luce in while my friend was looking at fish, so all is good, all is well. Yay plant babies. 🌿 🌸 🌵

Soubhiville Cute little succulents! 6y
Crinoline_Laphroaig Flavia! I adore her! Good looking cactus. It's a beautiful day here in Oklahoma. Gonna spend it digging the dirt. 🌱 6y
okthislooksbad @Soubhiville Ikr? Went there purely for the Lithops, but they were on sale, so... 😂 6y
okthislooksbad @missnavigation Flavia is the best! Best of luck in the great outdoors, I got soaked to the bone 😣😂 6y

Crazy plant-lady over here is aaaall about this. A neat little beginner's guide to the care and feeding of your cactus (or succulent) with soil- and water-recommendations and a little bit about styling the plant (in a "which pot would compliment its colours"-way, not "how to groom your Old Man-cactus"-way, for clarification) and the cutest little drawings. Yes good.
