Saw E.T. tonight at one of our local theaters! 👽🛸🎃#scarathlon #teamslaughter @Clwojick

megnews This is the first movie I ever saw in a theater. I was 6 1/2 when it came out. My dad, uncle, cousin, and I waited in a line for what felt like forever to see it. 3mo

'The creature stood in the grass, his heart-light flashing with fear.
He was alone, three million light-years from home.'

There are two kinds of people in this world, those that loved E.T. and those who thought he was scary.

“He's a man from outer space and we're taking him to his spaceship.”

“Well, can't he just beam up?”

“This is REALITY, Greg.”

Still one of my favorite Halloween movies, that still holds up really well today! 😉

blank I was scared of it! Granted I was 4 the one and only time I watched it, but I'm scarred enough that I'll never watch it again! 3y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @laurenslibrary I was 9 and loved him, my cousin was 8 and still hates him. You should try it again as an adult, he‘s such a sympathetic creature, accidentally lost far from home with strangers. 3y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @laurenslibrary The Spielberg one I thought was scary as a kid, is up next for me tonight: Young Sherlock Holmes. 3y
Lauraandherbooks Yes!! But it‘s not the same watching them as an adult, I still do watch many movies I did as a kid though 😁 3y
Amiable Or the third kind: Those who have never seen “E.T.” My husband falls into that category. He said the movie looked dumb when he was a kid and he hasn‘t changed his mind as an adult. 🙄 3y
Alora One of my favourite movies! 3y
blank @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Maybe I'll get brave enough to try watching it again someday! I've never seen Young Sherlock Holmes 3y

Sadly, I no longer own any of my childhood books thanks to a flooded basement years ago. I did, however pick up a children‘s book based on my favorite childhood movie recently. #24in48
