Pushing forward with my novella The Contestants!!

I originally set out to create a novel but I am not one to waste words or provide “fillers” just to reach an expected page count or total number of words. Thus my decision to be content with a novella instead!

All chapters are now basically constructed and I am in the process of solidifying characters and editing.

This has been such an enjoyable (yet difficult!) process already!

So a couple of weeks ago I decided I should attempt writing my own novel!

I have never tackled such a huge task but am so proud of myself for sticking with it!

I gave myself a soft deadline of the end of August to have my roughest roughy draft complete so we shall see. I am happy with my progress thus far.

I know there must be littens who are writers out there! Any words of advice for an aspiring author like myself? Thanks in advance!

What a quirky book. I usually hate precocious child narrators, but Aris made this novel what it is.

I was unimpressed with this book. Both the adult and young characters grated on me, and their whole dynamic didn't seem plausible. It's annoying to waste time reading mediocre books when there are so many amazing ones out there!

Perfect summer reading! A joyful trip to tween years with a smart and hilarious narrator. Lots of mock, amusing writing advice for those of you who like the "how to" genre.
