I've been listening to this off and on today when I do laundry & a little cleaning. It's such a cute palate-cleaner! Moving around is helping me stay motivated for #24in48 too

This audiobook was so good! It has a road trip and a romance, but this book went deep and had me crying during my commute. It's really about grief, female friendship, first loves, growing up, and mother daughter relationships. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #ya #audiobook

t's a love story but not that kind of love story. It's heartbreak and humor. It's about loss but hopeful. The sprinklings of cheesy romance novel references are on point. And the mention of the poetess Edna St. Vincent Millay and her poetry was a pleasant surprise, along with Adrienne Rich and e. e. cummings and Elizabeth Bishop. Great read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is my new commute #audiobook. I love the cover art.

This was a surprisingly touching story about family and grief and love and friendship finding yourself. Eva didn't feel like a teenaged caricature; she was given real thoughts and feelings and written with respect. It's a fairly strong story but had Eva not been as likable and relatable, the plot would have felt weaker. She made the book what it was. And the poetry woven in was relevant and meaningful without feeling forced or gimmicky.

I listened to #KissingInAmerica this past week and really enjoyed it! I'll warn you, though--the title is misleading, and if you expect a YA romance with lots of kissing, you'll be disappointed. It's not a romance, but it is a love story. I laughed and cried. 4/5 stars.
I'm going to have to buy a physical copy because I love the cover so.

Excellent book. More like two intertwined stories with characters in common. One is a story of overcoming grief and loss. The other is a not-quite romance novel

she pulled it out at the end there! there were a lot of parts I was underwhelmed by but I read the whole thing and I did cry, so there you go. also, a very good use of poetry throughout.
