The 1st 1/4 of book was slow & pushed my anxiety buttons with Sophie‘s marriage being brutally destroyed by her husband on their 25th anniversary and Audrey dealing with her mother‘s alcoholism. Then I raced through as the women met and shored each other up, becoming fast friends. Yes there is romance, but this really is a women‘s book

The highlight of this book was the two main characters, Audrey and Grace. They're both easy to root for. The growth of their friendship, as well as of their individual selves gave this book a lot of depth and emotion. Romance is not the focal point here, even if the book's genre says otherwise. This is definitely a book to pick up when you're in a reading slump.

July's #IllSeeYouInParis book is complete 😊 I really enjoyed this story! Grace & David are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary & Grace has a big surprise planned for David but David springs his own surprise on Grace. What follows is a summer of surprises, unexpected friendships, opportunities, self discovery, and discoveries. Can Grace go back in time and and revisit a missed opportunity?? Can she rediscover & (cont in comments)

TheHeartlandBookFairy reinvent herself? Can David turn back the hands of time and find happiness? Can Mimi (Grace's grandmother) go back to Paris, can she right an old wrong? Sophie, Audrey, & even Meena are all about to embark on a summer of discovery. Friendships, family, forgiveness… A wonderful story set in beautiful Paris! 3y
CindiB I really enjoyed it too, especially both of their relationships with Grace‘s mother and the awesome relationship between Grace and Audrey. 3y

I picked this up for the setting, and I was not disappointed. Loved Grace and Audrey's friendship and how it helped them grow! Could have used a once-over for all the Britishisms Grace, an American, was using though. #womensfiction

This wasn‘t what I expected. I expected light, adventure, and love. Adventure and love I got, but this story was unexpectedly deeper, with deeper, more complex characters. I loved the range of ages and of relationships. I loved the friendship that Grace and Audrey built. I loved Mimi and I loved the compassion that Mimi had for David. None of these relationships were easy or cheesy. This was much more than I expected. It was good. 4/5

Good. Even though this is a depart from Sarah's usual focus as it focuses on the love of friendship rather than romantic love and friendship between a older woman and a teenage girl. This shows that it doesn't matter how old you are that as long as you take the time for someone you can be friends. Also it deals with the issue of how alcohol can destroy not just a person but a family. Also it features a beautiful bookshop.

The odds that Audrey and Grace would find each other given their similar backgrounds but difference in age was incredible. Their instant connection was magical. I think every person reaches a point in their lives when they question their choices, their life's purpose or the path they are on. To find people who don't judge you but offer unwavering friendship yields a beautiful journey of self discovery.

I loved this book...comfort reading at its best and allowed me to escape to the streets of Paris. It‘s taken me a while to read as my head hasn‘t wanted to read but when I did read it...I fell in love with the setting❤️ It also shows that friendship can span over years and continents. A great read 📚

I loved the friendship between Grace and Audrey. The experiences they had and the comfort level that they had with one another was amazing. It‘s not easy to trust others with your baggage, let alone a stranger that soon becomes a friend.

Uplifting and lighthearted, there is also quite a serious thread flowing through this story. I thought it was a lovely, heartwarming tale. The characters are well rounded but also flawed as we all are, maybe a little stereotypical if I‘m picky. There are some quite convenient and predictable moments in the story, but all in all it‘s just a darn good, entertaining read. 😊

I truly enjoyed this book.It was such a great book to get you ready for summer, a time to find yourself and answers to what you are looking for. Grace and Audrey's story are different but they find friendship when both need each other. Even though there is an age difference between them they were still able to find common ground.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book' at the end of your review.

So, my first impression was more of a 4 star. I flew through this in an afternoon. But then after the fact, several flaws occurred to me.

Also who has never had ketchup served in a small stainless steel cup?? Where have they been eating?? 😂😂 #nitpick #howjessreadsin2019

Dragon I just had ketchup served that way at The Sultry Mermaid at lunch today 😀🐉 6y
