Not a great photo, but we're enjoying a movie night with the 2002 movie adaptation of P.K. Dick's classic story. It's been ages since I watched this one. All of the actors are so young!

🎧 Minority Report, Total Recall, Paycheck, Screamers & The Eyes Have It.

OMG I loved these short stories! Now I reallly want to pull out my DVDs of Minority Report & Total Recall ... movies & tv shows.

Oh how I love me some old cheesy sci-fi & I have a lot of it! 😁

These are short stories so the movies & TV show expand on them liberally.

The Eyes Have It is funny & only 7 minutes long.

Boy this brings back memories! Movie time!

Famous for the movie, I also wanted to get to know the original. And I loved it. And all the other stories collected here. Of course I did 😅
I love reading sci-fi classics, they're interesting to analyze. How did the authors back then image the future? What traces of their time are left in the stories? You actually find quite a lot of those if you pay attention.

Cathythoughts I loved Steppenwolf & Exit West ❤️. Must look into the others ✨ 7y
Lcsmcat An Ideal Husband is hilarious! But Jonathan Livingston Seagull should be on this list- it‘s shorter than many of these. (edited) 7y
Lcsmcat I tend to do my short reads at the end of the year and start January with weightier tomes. 7y
Cupofjo Thanks for the tag! Exit West is on my tbr list!! 7y

Well... Tom Cruise is in the movie, and he‘s a Scientologist... That‘s all I could come up with for this one. 😂

GondorGirl I love that connection! 7y

It's because of @CherylDeFranceschi that I took this quiz: https://www.buzzfeed.com/keelyflaherty/what-dystopian-movie-universe-do-you-belo...

It's quite fitting. I think I've discussed this one more often than any other dystopian fiction I've encountered - not counting the books I wrote my thesis about.

BookNerdBritt I got The Matrix, haha. 8y
julesG @BookNerdBritt That's what I was aiming for. 8y
