Thank you so much @DoonTheGoon! I love everything, and so do my cats. Bottom right is Phoenix after he literally dove into the pile trying to get the button. 🤦🏽‍♀️😂 I haven‘t read either of these collections before, and I‘m really looking forward to it! Get in Trouble is on my TBR and I‘ve been considering picking up something by Perrotta for a while now but haven‘t gotten around to it, so now I finally will. 😄

Every time I see the book yard sale at this particular house up at the lake, #igottafeeling that I'm gonna be bringing some books home 😊 Whoever lives there has a sale each summer and always has an amazing selection of books (usually) in great condition!!

I'm bad with short stories. At the end of each story in this collection, I felt like I was left hanging. Like I wanted each one to be a complete novel that I could delve into. It's amazing that in just a few pages, he was able to develop the characters as well as the storyline so completely! So good

OSChamberlain I felt that unfinished feeling with his book

Megabooks It's his signature @OSChamberlain He never ties a neat bow. He just leaves off. After so many "where are they now" epilogues, it's refreshing to me. 8y

Megabooks This makes me want to re-read The Wonder Garden because it leaves off in the same way, but the stories are interconnected.

Megabooks I've read three and listened to this one. They were all good stories! The Abstinence Teacher was my favorite. I'd love to get my hands on Election since the movie was based on the book. 8y

ChasingOm I love Perrotta! The Leftovers was my favorite, then I devoured The Abstinence Teacher and Little Children. I look for his books at used bookstores so I can keep my copies. 😊 8y
