Power is another thing. MacKayla Lane would do anything to save the home she loves. A gifted sidhe-seer, shes already fought and defeated the deadly Sinsar Dubhan ancient book of terrible evilyet its hold on her has never been stronger. When the wall that protected humans from the seductive, insatiable Fae was destroyed on Halloween, long-imprisoned immortals ravaged the planet. Now Dublin is a war zone with factions battling for control. As the city heats up and the ice left by the Hoar Frost King melts, tempers flare, passions run red-hot, and dangerous lines get crossed. Seelie and Unseelie vie for power against nine ancient immortals who have governed Dublin for millennia; a rival band of sidhe-seers invades the city, determined to claim it for their own; Macs former protg and best friend, Dani Mega OMalley, is now her fierce enemy; and even more urgent, Highland druid Christian MacKeltar has been captured by the Crimson Hag and is being driven deeper into Unseelie madness with each passing day. You can tell that KMM was trying to redeem herself after the shit show that was Iced. It feels like the direction she took with Jada is a bit of a cop out but I do find it interesting. It's enough to keep going. The return of Mac and Barrons wasn't as great as I had expected, I feel there was a lot of character development lost, but we'll see how this goes

I liked this one better than the previous one, but still wasn‘t crazy about it. The series has lost the spark and novelty of the earlier books. I think this is the last one for me.

8/10 7th book in a fantastic series. Only reason rating is lower than 10 is the amount of jumping from character to character detracts from the story imo. Otherwise as enjoyable as the rest of the series.

These books are like a hot bubble bath, I can just luxuriate in them all day. The first few books were a bit stressful but now the story is just enjoyable and addictive. I‘ll keep reading them as long as Moning keeps putting them out there!

Lauren_reading Me too - they‘re addictive 😀 6y

3.5🌟Lots of Mac and Barrons. I wish there was more of Dani. Interesting enough things going on, which make me want to read the next book. Narrators were great!

The plot changes and happenings in this book were new and fresh enough to not make a 7th book seem boring and redundant. I could guess a couple of them, but that was okay. Our narrator Mac is back and she annoyed me again for a small bit, but overall it is a good continuation of the series, the series still being a guilty pleasure.

Ahhh! This book was a great addition to the series. But I'm 2 books behind because I can't handle these cliffhangers!!! I need the next book available.

My #peachcoloredbooks seem to be related to death, fire and aliens/Fae.

(And tend to be more of a bold firey peach than a soft pastel peach. I wonder what that says of my book choices?)

I didn't love this book until the last 75 pages or so. But after a couple of good twists and cliffhangers, it was an okay thrill ride. Wish the thrills had started a little sooner though!!

So good! I'm glad now that I went ahead and checked Feverborn out of the library to have on deck when I finished this one. Moning has a way of blowing my mind even when I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I feel like I should have reread Shadowfever before this one - a lot I didn't remember.
