Sick and Tired: Healing the Illnesses Doctors Cannot Cure | Nick Read

Pretty sure some of you are sick & tired of hearing that I‘m sick & tired but wanted to touch base since I haven‘t been around since Friday morning. The sinus thing i was fighting got ugly Friday afternoon & I got a fever & chills & was down for the count all weekend. To the point that I barely lifted my head except to cough & no reading or anything got done. Yesterday & today I worked & napped & worked as I have 2 big projects due. Feeling a ⬇️

DebinHawaii … a bit better today with yet again new drugs as this beast won‘t go away. Anyway, I am massively behind & need to get my budget presentation done to present Halloween morning at 7 AM so not sure what will get read or tallied but I will make my best effort on Friday to get things tallied up for #HauntedShelf & I apologize to Team #Flerken for not keeping up & to everyone for not getting around to see your joys last week. 3mo

I have been sick and not able to read for a few days (or was it weeks?). I hate it. I love reading, being in challenges, writing about books... But I never know when I'm going to get worse or have a flare. It's frustrating... 😔
Any other chronically disabled people in here who sometimes struggle to keep up with their reading and reading challenges?

bookwyrm7 @Jari-chan thank you ? I do that too sometimes. I get the "itch" if I don't read anything for too long, so sometimes I just read regardless of the pain. In a way maybe it helps? Unfortunately, that's not always the case. 9mo

Jari-chan @bookwyrm7 I so relate to you. It's just something missing, when I'm not reading. And when I'm not reading because I'm in pain, it somehow makes it even worse. 9mo

I'm wanting to read my book, but I can't get through a page without having to set it down. I've never really empathized with the Wicked Witch of the East til now. Sucks feeling like there's a house sitting on top of you. My whole household is now + for Covid (except Henry, who's 5 and doesn't understand why we aren't giving out hugs and kisses). So it's like an episode of Walking Dead in my house. I just wanna read my book and cuddle my kid. 😭
