This was a good thriller set mostly in Paris. A little repetitive at times, but I kept turning the pages. I‘ve ordered two more by LeMaitre… easy reading. Thanks @Tamra for recommending â¤ï¸

Next up. Another Litsy inspired choice ðŸ˜
Twisty! I did not want to put this down. It was the perfect balance of brain candy & puzzle to wind up what is always a fatiguing spring semester.
The title is odd and a bit misleading. And the end, well one needs to go into thrillers with a strictly entertainment mindset.
I‘ve been stalking the mailbox all day waiting for this to arrive. Anna Novella on book tube raved - apparently it‘s jaw dropping! 😲 I‘m going to dive in. 🤞ðŸ¾
This is an odd book, the plot itself is quite good, but there are several things which I didn't like. First of all, it's written at a distance as if the reader is watching a film rather than feeling involved in the story line, & the MC is difficult to like or feel much empathy for at the start. This changed as the book progressed but I can see why some readers DNF'd it. 1â

A totally twisted psychological thriller that kept me guessing! This book is bizarre, and I mean that in a good way 👌

A new book to me! Always exciting to get a new read. It sounds INCREDIBLY creepy and I‘m here for it @swishandflick #allhallowsreadbookexchange
A huge thanks to @brendanmleonard for sending this to me! It arrived safely this afternoon and I'm so excited to get into it!
My poor book took a bath 😟🛀...this is the first book I've read in ages because I keep 😴 including in the bath which meant my book took a dunking 😣
Review - Sophie finds herself in a crime scene with no recollection of what she's done. She goes on the run and hatches a plan to marry and change her name. Little does she know that the man she strikes an online relationship with has secrets of his own, and is closer to her than she realises.
Doing some winter cleaning, Littens, and I have a couple of ARCs I'd like to get rid of! Normally these would go to goodwill, but I'll send them out for the cost of USPS. First come, first serve - use the comments to claim.
"Blood Wedding is a gripping, troubling novel with believable characters and a watertight plot, an undeniable tour de force of psychological suspense that justifies Lemaitre's international reputation as a crime writer." --New York Journal of Books
I really enjoyed this book! The first chapter alone had me hooked. The unreliable narrator was hard to understand at first but made for an interesting story. I did not see the twist or ending happening the way it did, and I loved it. Four stars!
Long car rides call for a good book 📚 and wow did this one start out good. One chapter in and my jaw already dropped 😱 I can tell I'm going to like this one
After a week from hell I bought a few books from Barnes & Noble to cheer me up 📚
I was a little apprehensive picking up this book; was a total surprise how it turned out. Darn good thriller 😊
Holy shiz, that was intense. So many layers of crazy. I won't say much bc I don't want to ruin it, but there's unreliable narration, a big twist that turns into an even bigger twist, and several WTF moments sprinkled throughout. Solid suspense! 😱
The suspense in this book is giving me a touch of anxiety. For a while, the narrator was so unreliable that I started to doubt my *own* sanity. And that was before the creepy twists started rolling in 😱
When you get a 40% off Barnes and Noble coupon so you treat yourself ðŸ’ðŸ»
Round 2 of me gushing about this book!! What I loved most about this book = how Lemaitre crafts a story that doesn't simply have a big twist—it has a big twist, and then it BUILDS on that twist in a crazy way!!! I could never have predicted the story's development, and I loved it so much.
*dies and goes to book heaven* this is probably my 2nd most-anticipated read of the year, and WOW did I devour it. Dividing my thoughts into 2 blurbs because this book deserves ALL the love. First things first: no plot description can do this book justice - it's ALL KINDS OF CRAY. Twisted & amazing.
Ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod. This book is insane! The plot is so twisted and so well planned that I am speachless.
You! Read this book. NOW!
Blood Wedding by Pierre Lamaitre is one of my beloved "killer wedding". A story made of manipulation, marriage and lies. And is also my first french author and I am really excited and curious to read this book. Thanks to Hachette Australia I can read it as a preview, oh yess! ?
