Listened to this one. A beautifully moving and deeply sad story at times. I don‘t want to say too much about this book because I think it‘s best to experience yourself but you can really feel the love inside this story as it is written partially from the authors personal experience. Didn‘t love the part when 2 of the main characters went to Thailand, but otherwise, this was a beautiful story

Went in a different direction than I thought but I I enjoyed it all the same. An honest portrayal of the restaurant industry and youth. I like the way this book was written small snapshots, the pacing aligned with the story. A good, fairly quick read.

This weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting Jonny Sun at Politics and Prose in DC. I love Jonny‘s twitter presence and authenticity and he is as wonderful, gracious and kind as he is online. This book is a gem and makes me feel all the warm feels.

This is my first EVER romance and I have to say I‘m all in. I absolute devoured this book, it was just so much fun! As a very deliberate reader (I just always want to get all the details) it was so nice to read through a book so quickly and still feel so fully engrossed. If you are wondering whether you should try romance, TRY ROMANCE and don‘t look back. ps: thanks to @Mommamanzi for gifting me this book ❤️

Loved this book. Learned so much about the impact humans are having on the environment. A must read for science-y and non-science-y folks alike!

Listened to this on audio and really loved it. An awesome and very practical book about building confidence and using physical presence to build self-confidence. Will be reading this again and taking some notes !

Most recent nonfiction I read was The Art of Asking by Amanda Palmer. I adored this book. Incredibly well written, Palmer is a fascinating person from her first career as a street performer, her band the Dresden Dolls, to her marriage to Neil Gaiman. She is unapologetically herself and that is part of the reason this book meant so much to me. #GIVEAWAYREALTALK @Liberty

Loved this story so much from Noah's book about his childhood pets and his dog that ran away. Constant laughs and if you listen to the audio, (which he reads) the voice he uses for his younger self in this section is wonderful.

Best book I've read this year. Hilariously funny and thoughtful. For as serious as this book gets, Trevor Noah's humor doesn't quit. Also features quite possibly the funniest 💩story I've ever heard.

Meeting Roxane Gay at #nationalbookfest still has me glowing days later. She is as wonderfully hardcore and awesome and one would imagine. My author fangirling was in high gear 😆 Q: What is the author you dream of meeting in person?

Another year, another #nationalbookfest. This year my mama and I enjoyed the fest together and split our signing time hers in the morning, mine in the afternoon. I had the pleasure of meeting Sandhya Menon at the book festival. She was absolutely lovely, full of warmth and light. This was the book I was most excited for this summer and I'm so glad I had the chance to meet her ❤️

Another audiobook down. This one was pretty solid, there were particular chapters I really enjoyed, and especially related to Issa's love of 90's hip hop and the early days of the internet.

Question to the community! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fit reading into a busy schedule? I've been doing well with adding in audiobooks to my daily walk but as work has been in a busy season, struggling to find time to read physical books which makes me sad. What are some things you do to fit reading into your life? #asklitsy
