I‘ve been on a bit of a graphic novel kick lately so when my boyfriend picked this up over the weekend and told me how great it is I had to read it.
I didn‘t expect to love it as much as I did but it was SO GOOD!
Alan Moore created a great origin story for the Joker and the artwork was phenomenal. It was interesting getting a glimpse into Jokers past but considering how crazy he is, it left me wondering if that was truly what happened.

My #BOTM picks for June 💛
I‘m trying to utilize the library more and buy less books for a while but....BOTM editions are hard to resist sooo 🤷🏻‍♀️

Aswenson I‘m hoping to go an entire year with only botm, Audible and the library... haven‘t picked a start date yet though... 😬 5y

Brought a few books to the beach with me but have been too exhausted to read much. Today was a bit rainy so I managed to sneak in a few chapters of this and I‘m loving it so far! 🌊

I can‘t believe I let almost a year pass without re-downloading Litsy 🙈
Now that I‘ve done so, I wanted to post about a book I read toward the end of January that ended up being my first but 5 ⭐️ read of 2019.

Set in the Australian Outback, The Lost Man is an atmospheric, character-driven murder mystery with a heavy focus on family/relationships. I loved every second of it and had the hardest time putting it down!

Going to pretend there isn't 7 inches of snow outside - on the second day of spring - and focus on reading this. 50 pages in and loving it so far.

Jess7 I think this is one @britt_brooke really liked. I think that‘s why I recently decided I want to read it 6y
britt_brooke @BriMae @Jess7 This book had such beautiful descriptions. Loved it! Very deserving of the Pulitzer. 💚 6y
jessberk13 This is one of the best books I‘ve read in the past few years. Enjoy it! 6y

WOW. This is one disturbing read. I loved every second of it and could not put it down!
Definitely one of the best thrillers I've read in a while.

RadicalReader @BriMae I can't wait for this book. Going to see if it's possible for my library to buy the book sounds absolutely incredible because of the wonderful description 6y

Psychopath or not, Joe is one of those characters you can't help but love.
I enjoyed Hidden Bodies, but I have to say I liked You a bit more. I love how Joe begins to change but at the same time I found myself missing the Joe we met in You.
I hope there is another book planned because I need more! 😬

Current read! Don't like to buy movie or TV tie-ins anymore but B&N had no undamaged copies of the original. The Sookie Stackhouse series got me out of my slump last summer so I'm hoping this series will help me now 😬

ACOMAF is still my favorite of the three but this was amazing and I flew through it. It wasn't perfect but my love of the characters -especially Rhysand- and the overall plot are preventing me from giving this any less than 5 stars.

I can't wait to revisit this series next year when the next installment is out and I'm hoping for more Nesta and Cassian 😉

Cursed Child was by no means a bad book but it didn't blow me away either. The formatting took some getting used to and I wasn't a huge fan of the characters at times but it was still a pretty quick and enjoyable read.

Another gritty, fast-paced crime thriller from M. J. Arlidge. This time with a serial killer described as Jack the Ripper in reverse. This series certainly does not disappoint.

Part western, part fantasy/steampunk at times the plot felt a bit jumbled and I certainly would have preferred less romance. On the plus side, there's a creepy cannibal family that adds some gory entertainment along with a twist I didn't see coming!
