It seems unfair to say my only problem with this novella is that it's too short but it's true! That said, Cat Sebastian fits in a lot, including some lovely character development on the part of Alice. She begins the story a meek spinster who lets people bulldoze her to a woman getting what's owed her, stealing diamonds, and having middle of the night lesbian sex! As usual, it's delightful. That's the end of my Cat Sebastian streak, for now!
A wonderful F/F romance novella. I picked this one up because I was looking for something light and short and it was almost perfect. I definitely want to read some of the longer ones in this series.
So. Decide to join parent on trip to ikea. Pick a book that‘s just long enough for the trip. Forget that it‘s bloody 5 pm in bloody January in bloody Germany. 😭 Well done, me.
Molly, a street smart lady‘s maid, and Alice, a disgraced lady‘s companion fall in love and dole out a little deserved revenge in this novella. This was sweet and lovely. I enjoyed the revenge bit too. #Bookspinbingo
Redressed is a 10,000 word short story about Sophie, the elder sister of the Turner men in the main books. It was nice to see her get a bit of HEA but I wish this had at least been a novella.
This book warmed my heart so much. A 'disgraced' lady and a servant, both down on their luck, meet and feel an immediate attraction to each other, though they try not to. As they fall for each other they both dream of better lives and manage to get them, whilst blackmailing misogynistic men in the process!
This was sweet and hot and just perfect. Definitely might go on a f/f histrom spree now.
An absolutely adorable sapphic regency novella about a disowned lady and a street-wise lady's maid who fall hard for each other. This was mostly fluff which was exactly what I wanted from it to be honest. Just a happy sapphic historical romance, which I now realize I need more of in my life.
A queer romance featuring boys, like the one in the picture, was a little outside my #comfortzone mostly because I wasn‘t expecting it from the blurb! I liked it though once I got over my shock. OTOH I want to read a queer romance featuring women, like the tagged book, but it‘s not really available at the library. If only I‘d known this when I was at the bookstore last night! #selfimprovementsept
Not Cat‘s best work, but a sweet short story of F/F romance. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Good news, #hoopla #audiobook users! The library-partnered app FINALLY has chapter markers! It also tells you how much time has elapsed, remains in chapter, and remains in book! Hoopla is still a clumsier user experience than Libby, but it seems to be making headway at long last. (Also, this f/f romance is DELIGHTFUL and less than a 3hr listen 😉) #romantsy #litsyloveslibraries
Short and sweet and steal-y!

Next up is a quick, queer novella that will put me at halfway to my year's ebook goal!
#SummersEndReadathon
I have picked out my first 3 ebooks for #SummersEndReadathon but also I have failed to finish the physical book I'm reading. Whoops!
Gosh, look at that cover, it's lovely.
The novella itself is fun; nothing too surprising, but enjoyable enough and with a sweet happy ending.
A disowned spinster and a street smart lady's maid fall in love in this sweet novella.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lovely but short even for a novella. Cat‘s first historical f/f for Avon contains the story of Molly the streetwise housemaid (we‘ve met her before) and Alice the cast-off vicar‘s daughter. While on the way to an HEA without relationship miscommunication or reluctance to acknowledge love the two ladies show a couple of awful dudes where to get off. Love the cover.
