I finished this lovely novella during an outdoor reading session with a buddy who was more interested in sniffing everything in sight than in posing for a picture. Dogs, man.

A LITTLE LIGHT MISCHIEF was a great reminder of Cat Sebastian‘s excellence. Solid character development and good chemistry, all in less than a hundred pages. #gaymay

Fulfills the single parent category for #SapphicBingo2023. Protagonist Molly is a single mother. Loved this novella.

It seems unfair to say my only problem with this novella is that it's too short but it's true! That said, Cat Sebastian fits in a lot, including some lovely character development on the part of Alice. She begins the story a meek spinster who lets people bulldoze her to a woman getting what's owed her, stealing diamonds, and having middle of the night lesbian sex! As usual, it's delightful. That's the end of my Cat Sebastian streak, for now!

A fun, very readable F/F romance novella. As a bonus, it‘s my #bookspin selection for the month and also a #roll100 pick.

A wonderful F/F romance novella. I picked this one up because I was looking for something light and short and it was almost perfect. I definitely want to read some of the longer ones in this series.

So. Decide to join parent on trip to ikea. Pick a book that‘s just long enough for the trip. Forget that it‘s bloody 5 pm in bloody January in bloody Germany. 😭 Well done, me.

Molly, a street smart lady‘s maid, and Alice, a disgraced lady‘s companion fall in love and dole out a little deserved revenge in this novella. This was sweet and lovely. I enjoyed the revenge bit too. #Bookspinbingo

Redressed is a 10,000 word short story about Sophie, the elder sister of the Turner men in the main books. It was nice to see her get a bit of HEA but I wish this had at least been a novella.

Reggie Hi, Margie! How are you doing? What are you gonna do this coming week? Is it just gonna be you and Papa Bear or are you gonna get to see your sister? 4y
Bookzombie Hi @Reggie ! How are you feeling? I‘m doing alright, sometimes down but I can‘t really complain. I‘m off Thursday and Friday but PB and I will just be at home. We aren‘t going to gather with any family on either side. Trying to plan something fun that won‘t just feel like the same old, same old at the house. 🙂 What are your plans for the week? 4y
Reggie There‘s 3 of us here and we‘re gonna do Thanksgiving together but I was bummed that we weren‘t gonna be able to get together with my grandma. There‘s all kinds of hotspots all over NM and she‘s in one of ‘em. Me, myself, back to 100% and tested negative 2 weeks after the positive. And work for shut down again so just chillin. Stay safe, Margie! 4y
Bookzombie I‘m so sorry that you won‘t get to see your grandma. I know that has to be hard. PB and I spend every other Thanksgiving on our own, but usually take a short trip. I think I‘m going to feel more bummed at Christmas. I‘m so happy that you are fully recovered and have tested negative. I hope that the shut down isn‘t hard on you. If you need something to watch and have Netflix, I recommend Schitt‘s Creek. So funny! Please stay safe too! @Reggie 4y

This book warmed my heart so much. A 'disgraced' lady and a servant, both down on their luck, meet and feel an immediate attraction to each other, though they try not to. As they fall for each other they both dream of better lives and manage to get them, whilst blackmailing misogynistic men in the process!

This was sweet and hot and just perfect. Definitely might go on a f/f histrom spree now.

ChasingOm I‘ve heard great things about this one: 4y
wicdiv @ChasingOm the audiobook for that is next on my list so fingers crossed that one is good too. Thank you for the rec though! 4y

An absolutely adorable sapphic regency novella about a disowned lady and a street-wise lady's maid who fall hard for each other. This was mostly fluff which was exactly what I wanted from it to be honest. Just a happy sapphic historical romance, which I now realize I need more of in my life.

MusicallyMorgan I need some fluff lately; this looks perfect! 5y

A queer romance featuring boys, like the one in the picture, was a little outside my #comfortzone mostly because I wasn‘t expecting it from the blurb! I liked it though once I got over my shock. OTOH I want to read a queer romance featuring women, like the tagged book, but it‘s not really available at the library. If only I‘d known this when I was at the bookstore last night! #selfimprovementsept

Good news, #hoopla #audiobook users! The library-partnered app FINALLY has chapter markers! It also tells you how much time has elapsed, remains in chapter, and remains in book! Hoopla is still a clumsier user experience than Libby, but it seems to be making headway at long last. (Also, this f/f romance is DELIGHTFUL and less than a 3hr listen 😉) #romantsy #litsyloveslibraries

Gosh, look at that cover, it's lovely.

The novella itself is fun; nothing too surprising, but enjoyable enough and with a sweet happy ending.

shanaqui #SummersEndReadathon @Clwojick Almost forgot. 😁 Only 45 mins of reading so far -- this one really is bitesized. I don't normally set my goals by time, but seeing other folks do it... let's say I wanna manage 20 hours of reading by the end. 5y
Clwojick That sounds like a great goal! And these mini novellas are perfect for readathons. I love to read them between some of the longer ones. Also graphic novels! 📚 5y

Lovely but short even for a novella. Cat‘s first historical f/f for Avon contains the story of Molly the streetwise housemaid (we‘ve met her before) and Alice the cast-off vicar‘s daughter. While on the way to an HEA without relationship miscommunication or reluctance to acknowledge love the two ladies show a couple of awful dudes where to get off. Love the cover.
