Yeah
We don‘t have a single identity, that others attribute to us, but infinite identities ...
I wanted to be alone in an altogether unusual way, a new way. Quite the contrary of what you think: that is to say, without myself and, to be precise, with a stranger at hand.
OMG, I can't believe I caught this exactly!!!! The 13.5 months I've been on Litsy have been some of the most fun of my life! I love our community and all the wonderful books and opinions here. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ @Litsy
"Riconoscete che un minuto fa voi eravate un altro. . . non solo, ma voi eravate anche cento altri, centomila altri. Vedete piuttosto se vi sembra di poter essere così sicuro che di qui a domani sarete quel che assumete di essere oggi." ☆ "Recognize that a minute ago you were another, but also a hundred or a hundred thousand others. You will see if you can be so sure that between now and tomorrow you will be that which you assume to be today." ☆
"I couldn't see myself like others saw me, place myself in front of my body and watch it live like that of another."
Began my first prose piece by Pirandello, and I'm already hooked! In "One, No One, and One Hundred Thousand," Vitangelo discovers that his nose is crooked and begins to descent into madness as he realizes that the person he sees in the mirror is only one of thousands of versions of himself that others see..or is he no one at all?
Crazy, I could identify with the identity crisis.
