This was the 2nd Talia Hibbert book I read &, and I read it prior to my own neurodiversity diagnoses.
So. Much. Highlighted. Text.
I mean
“Now she didn‘t know if she should laugh or gasp. She compromised by choking on her own spit.“
“Being around people who were supposedly ‘normal‘ made her feel abnormal.“
“She wasn‘t graceful. She was, in fact, the opposite of graceful.“

SW-T This was my first Hibbert, but not my last. Really enjoyed it. Went back and read the rest of the series. (edited) 9mo

I sat down to read a couple of chapters of this book the other night and accidentally inhaled the whole thing. I really love Talia Hibbert's prickly, neurodivergent romance characters and the people who love them.

This was my June #BookSpin, completed in record time (for me)! Thanks, @TheAromaofBooks!

What a fantastic book. I loved Evan and Ruth. Their interactions had me laughing and swooning. The “bad guy” made for some great moments as well. I enjoyed Ruth standing up to him.

Also - neurodiverse lead

It‘s been almost a year since my first read through of this book and on the second read, it‘s just confirmed that it really is the best cinnamon roll book out there! To those of you who say that you can‘t get a hot romance out of watching two adorable and good people fall in love, because “where‘s the tension gonna come from?”, READ THIS BOOK! I dare you. Talia Hibbert is absolutely brilliant and a romantic genius!

I thoroughly enjoyed this series. It was a welcome escape over the last few weeks. Interesting and dimensional characters. Neurodiversity, size diversity, sexual orientation diversity. Sweetness and spice. Consent. People who just really, really like each other. Honest to god blacksmiths.

My one issue: Why put people on the cover when they don't really look like the character descriptions in the book? Just let my imagination do the work, pls.

Johanna414 Yes! I binged this whole series last month! 4y

5 hours is a great start considering my goal is 10 hours. Lol. I‘m really liking the tagged book and I also finished Heart and Brain: Gut Instincts.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Talia Hibbert is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her books have diversity, non-toxic masculinity, and they‘re a great escape. Have already downloaded the novella that is next in her Ravenswood series (which this was the first of)

TALIA HIBBERT IS SO GOOD, Y‘ALL. Her first Ravenswood novel stars a prickly comics creator with autism and the world‘s nicest blacksmith, in loooooove—but first, in seriously sweet, adorable, supportive friendship. There are some darker elements in the mix, including parental cancer and a past abusive relationship, but I‘m gonna remember this book for its wonderful leads and their great, loving, boundary-respecting friendship.

It‘s book & beer time! I hoped this vanilla porter would be on the same level as a particular vanilla stout I love and rarely see outside of BC. Unfortunately, it‘s not quite there, but it IS really good.

A GIRL LIKE HER is still wonderful, too. I‘m gonna binge the last 40 pages soon as I‘ve caught up with Litsy. November is already heaps better than October, book-wise.

Alora Mmm that beer looks good! 😍 5y
ShyBookOwl I LOVE that vanilla porter. Enjoy! 5y
xicanti @Alora @ShyBookOwl I‘d look for it again. It was really drinkable, with a nice head. Great winter beer. 5y

I shouldn‘t have started A GIRL LIKE HER right before bed. Sixty pages later, I had to forcibly remind myself sleep is important. I devoured another twenty-five pages over breakfast, and I‘ll be counting down until I get to pick the book up again.

Talia Hibbert is super readable, is what I‘m saying.

Casey and I have a roomie! Charlie‘s staying with us for the next couple nights. It‘s the first time she‘s been away from her parents since they adopted her a year and a half ago.

It‘s also her BIRTHDAY! She‘s now two. We‘re gonna celebrate by reading together.

Lreads Happy Birthday, Charlie! 💕🐶🐶💕 5y

Prose-heavy library haul this week. Eep. I‘m mighty glad my library bought some Talia Hibbert, though. I discovered her through a free holiday romance last year (MERRY INKMAS) and knew I wanted to read more.

I‘m excited for another volume of SILVER SPOON, too! Hurray for agricultural high school manga!

Ruth is the town pariah. Evan is the new guy in town. Evan is a very sweet and helpful person and decides to make his neighbor a shepherds pie to say hello. He meets Ruth and a friendship starts to form. He makes her dinner and she lets him read her comics. Ruth has a complicated history that she‘s trying to deal with. She is also autistic. The author is as well.

This is a delightful book. The heroine is as grumpy and private as any hero, leading to snarky, funny banter when the hero learns to give as good as he gets.

Excellent own voices autism rep.

#dragonsandteabookclub pick for February.. I gave this a 4 ⭐️ I really liked the way the author wrote the perspective of the MC Ruth and how she sees the world as someone that is Autistic. The romance was fantastic and I really enjoyed the way Ruth took her life back and overcame all the issues with the townsfolk. Can‘t wait to see what is the pick for next month 😊

Not on Litsy (of course) but I wanted to let you all know that Talia Hibbert's first paranormal romance is an absolute DELIGHT. Full of silver weapons, sexy banter, and consent. Chastity is a huntress and tries to kill Luke bc he's a werewolf, which he finds incredibly attractive. It's awesome, it's 99 cents on Kindle, go get it.

I‘m actually reviewing the sequel—Untouchable—but it‘s not in the database. Another beautiful book from Hibbert. She has a gift for characterization. The main characters are uniquely flawed humans and their flaws make them real. She also manages to turn the nanny trope on its head.

Litsy FINALLY added this book, honestly the best romance novel I've read this year. Delightfully funny and sexy, with a big buff tattooed hero and a curvy autistic heroine who likes comics. Interracial couple, #ownvoices, and downright fabulous. 🔥❤ADD TO YOUR TBR❤🔥

This book is not in the database, but is the sequel. I put off reading it because I got it confused with another book series by a different author that I didn‘t like. 🤷🏻‍♀️ That said, I enjoy this author‘s writing style, and the British setting. #romantsy #ownvoices
