Thanks again @TheSpineView for the tag! #wondrouswednesday

1. The middle name I was given at birth was after my aunt. I loved my aunt but hated that name! So, when I got married, I made my maiden name my legal middle name.
2. None
3. Tagged book. Many came to mind but I went with a classic!

First of 2020 was Little Women.

The last was I Want to Be Where the Normal People Are by Rachel Bloom

At this point in 2021, I‘m reading Human Acts by Han Kang and listening to McConaughey‘s Greenlights.

Got my own copy of Little Women. Such a pretty cover. I‘ve never read this before so if you have tell me something you love about it!

sudi Love that cover 😍 5y
TheAromaofBooks I love this book a lot, I think in large part because of the emphasis on the love between the four sisters. There are love stories as well, but it's the sisterly bond that makes the story what it is. ❤ Hope you enjoy it!! It's a bit old-fashioned in places, but there is still a lot to like. 5y
Moonprismpower @TheAromaofBooks thank you! I hope to love it for those reasons. I have two sisters and we are very close. 5y
TheAromaofBooks When I was scrolling through my feed, someone else was talking about how she is finding this book rather boring/preachy, so it obviously isn't for everyone. But I'm rather old-fashioned myself, so that may be why I don't mind Alcott's little lessons. 😊 5y
reader_in_april I really need to read this classic! 5y

CareBear How was the movie? 5y
Scochrane26 I just saw the movie & loved it! Don‘t want to read the book again, but I‘m interested learning more about Alcott. 5y

kspenmoll @CareBear I loved it. Ran 2 parallel story lines to incorporate both Bk 1& Bk 2. Opening at Christmas; other story 7 yrs later (book 2). My niece thought the actresses for Amy & Meg were not cast well but other then that, she & my sister loved it too. We four sisters grew up playing with the Little Women Madame Alexander dolls, one for each, & made up further stories around their lives! 5y
kspenmoll @Scochrane26 There are some good biographies out- also I live near enough to visit one house they lived in (among many) Wayside Inn, and they grew up among transcendentalist friends of their fathers: Thoreau, Hawthorne,Emerson, all authors. 5y
kspenmoll @Reviewsbylola 🙌🏻🙌🏻just read ch1 & the movie took dialogue & action right from that chapter.😀 I am using serial reader but I have an old print copy as well. 5y

Starting the new year with a classic! The edition pictured below has a copywrite date of 1926 and was a Christmas gift given to one of my uncles in 1933 🤓
I am going to read a Signet Classics version of this, but thought everyone might enjoy the pictures of the cover and one of the illustrations in this edition.

JazzFeathers My goodness! It's beautiful! 5y
