I hope after the reading disaster that was The Dead Queens Club, that I will enjoy getting back to my favorite genres: Fairytale retellings and fantasy. I know I am a snob, but lately stepping out of my comfort zone has yielded not that many great stories. I want to connect with characters and fall into other worlds! I am so excited for this book!

Okay...just finished Bunnicula! Onward ho! This was always my favorite of the series! As you can tell I have had this book since grade school...so super old!

About to start 1984...trying something new and stepping out of my usual genre comfort zone. Never read this classic in high school, but I feel it's a must read!
so-soI dont think I have ever felt so conflicted over how I felt about a book while reading it.
Sometimes I was bored and grazed over the words, but I still just had to know how it ended.
I never felt overly attached to the characters and by the time I got to the end it all felt kind of "Meh".
So not awful, but not that great either.
30 books!? I don't think I could ever do this! I love my overrun bookshelves. Books are beautiful! The more the merrier I say!

pickI just finished this marvelous book once again, rereading it as always gives me such comfort. It is a perfect read for winter. You fall in love with the epic tale of a small person becoming a great hero. All the characters are amazing, no matter how brief they are.
My 4 year old decided to gift The Hobbit (or as he says "the Hujjit) to our cat Haji #catsoflitsy . At least I got to finish reading it first LOL!

The story of two sisters, one who will be sacrificed to the netherworld and the other doing everything to save her.
This book was okay. I didn't find myself unable to put it down. The story was rather predictable by the middle. By the time I got to the end it just dawned on me that the story itself wasn't that enticing, but at least I had finished it. I guess it just felt a bit lackluster for me.

so-soThe idea of this book is awesome! Reading about women who were not your typical princess was so inspiring besides that fact that they were crazy, selfish, or adulterers, they did things their way!
There were alot of stories and most if them very pretty entertaining. I would not say it was a great book. As they say, "Well behaved women rarely make history." And this book is proof.

The writing is just okay. The characters were not likable, but I still wanted to know what would happen in this ok-ish book so I still read this nearly 500 page Beast!
