I loved this book. The relationship between Eudora, Stanley and Rose was cute and funny, and totally what I hope for in friendships, if I reach that age.

I found this gem of a story by chance and it just captured and melted my heart.
Excellent audio narration - the story of elderly Eudora and young Rose.
Ugh…another book I left off my #Top22Of22
My mom read this book and said it‘s similar to A Man Called Ove and I said, SAY NO MORE!!!
The beautiful Bella poses with the book with the help of a hostaged ball. 🎾 #dogsoflitsy
Although a feel good book, I did have a little tear at the end.
Lovely characters and felt very real.
I stand by my initial impression…

An elderly woman is befriended by her 10 year old neighbor #AllTheFeels
#ThingsInCommon #LifeInBookTitle @Clwojick I picked this up from Audible awhile ago on a daily deal. After my last read I‘m looking for something a bit lighter!! I listened to the first 20 minutes and I‘m hooked!! Sounds like it‘s going to be delightful ♥️🎧
Here are my final January #BookSpinBingo stats, as well as my new February lineup.💖
This is my book club‘s pick for July & I can see the easy comparisons to be made for A Man Called Ove! I definitely enjoyed listening to this from start to finish! Titular character Eudora, octogenarian & isolated from the world, plans to die with dignity but a precocious new neighbor soon begins drawing Eudora back into the land of friendships & connections. Warmly entertaining, I‘m curious to see what everyone else thinks! #AudioColoring
I loved this book. It deals with death compassionately. And it has lessons in it on how to live as well. I cried at the end. I knew I would, but that didn‘t stop it from happening. Five stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!
After a recent read that featured the murders of young girls, I really needed something to reset and recharge with so I turned to one of my unread Sweet Reads box books. It did the trick - I found this to be a cross between The Elegance of the Hedgehog and Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. It was such a lovely, poignant story with laugh-out-loud moments that put me exactly where I needed to be. Also, that shortbread was amazing.
This was so so good, I can‘t recommend it enough! It took me a few tries to get going (a busy month so far!) and I‘m so glad I didn‘t wait to try it later. I had a few hours at work to read it..and omg I cried and I hardly ever cry at books! This was such a great book on friends, life, love, perseverance, and living life no matter what it throws at you. Wonderful book 💕
Sweet story about aging end of life matters. Reminded me of A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman.
A really sweet novel about human connection.

Oh this was a sweet book 💕 I was looking for something light and easy and so I was surprised by how much the characters grabbed me 😊 ⭐⭐⭐
A sweet, feel good story. Very easy reading. 7/10⭐️
I‘ve really tried to cut down on my book-buying this year. So far, I‘ve been pretty successful. But then I signed up for Sweet Reads and did some stress-buying. Oops. I think I‘ll still finish the year with fewer books than I started, though.
Has this story been told before? Yes.
Did I fall in love with Eudora, Rose, and Stanley and cry like a baby at the end? Also yes.
The perfect story for anyone who enjoys reading about a stubborn, elderly main character who forms unlikely friendships and gains a new lease on life. The most obvious comparison is A Man Called Ove, so if you enjoyed that one, you will probably like this one as well! 4⭐
I ADORED it. I'm sad I'm not with Eudora and Rose anymore. I just loved it.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Going to take a moment and read my book club's choice.
This is was so delightful. If you love Fredrick Backman this is a must read.

I won an advanced copy of this book on Goodreads! Yay! Snoopy was not very impressed though.

What a lovely, lovely story! It was a delight following Eudora‘s late life, and I quite liked how you had a glimpse of what her life was and might have been had she made a different choice.
