@readordierachel these are from another book by Isa M. My SIL and I are Skype cooking so I can be motivated to cook. I am excited to try many recipes in this book! I love vegan cookbooks, but I rarely have time and energy to cook. Coconut rice, collards with pineapple and blackened tofu.

#bookfitnesschallenge I am re thinking how I develop goals. I am moving more most days, but I would love if I walked 1 mile every day- perhaps 4/7 is attainable next week. I am meal planning from the tagged book.

#AugustGrrrl #Tattoo I was having a hard time thinking of good tattoo-related books but then I thought of this vegan cookbook (the chickpea piccata & cauli-pots recipes are favorites)💜& how the cover always reminds me of a tattoo. The author Isa Chandra Moskowitz, has several tattoos, as you can see from the pics. I have to say I'm a wuss when it comes to needles & pain so I would probably be like Phoebe on Friends & end up with just a dot!🤣🤣🤣

DebinHawaii @RestlessFickleBookSlut Me too! ?? @dariazeoli ? @Cinfhen You could do the "cookbooks are exempt from the ban" thing! ? @ValerieAndBooks I would recommend any of Isa's books & Terry Hope Romero's & also Robin Robertson & Chloe Coscarelli both have an assortment of good books with a wide variety of simple recipes. But there are lots of great vegan cookbooks out there. 8y

ValerieAndBooks @DebinHawaii thanks for the recommendations! I'll see if our library (how I like to preview most cookbooks) has any of these. And, the more photos the better for my daughter. I don't need photos as much but I think she does because she's a new cook overall. @lemonlime799 yes any suggestions would be great. Easy/cheap is also a plus, she's a college student. 8y

Attempting murky Monday meal planning in the land of neverending typhoon and overpriced produce. 😭🍅🙅 Despite all the nuts 💀, these salads are calling my name. I'm attempting to flag recipes with ingredients that exist (affordably) over here which is a bit easier with this book than Isa Does It (which gahhh is my fav!) Holy lack of dark greens and copious beans 😥 #cookbook #vegetarian #tokyomom #rainydaysandmondays

GlitteryOtters How do you like that cookbook? We have half a dozen of her books and mostly like them, but find the recipe testing seems to vary (some books are great with no problems, others have tons of issues as written & require some major adjustments, so I am always a little nervous trying a new-to-me cookbook from her!) 8y

alanacristin @GlitteryOtters I haven't made much yet since I got it just before giving birth 😮 I really love Isa Does It! but I often make modifications to recipes since i can't eat nuts but i do eat dairy. This one has less coconut milk and oil and avocado quantity with the goal of reducing calories, but i feel free to add back in fats when cooking. If you're up for trying a few new things, it's worth checking it out at the library to preview 👍

Vexingcircumstance I have to modify some. I use too because I can't eat gluten (medical reasons not by choice). I really need to buy her books. I'm not vegan but I love her books and can usually modify vegan recipes pretty Easily (except baking of course). I can't eat dairy either so for that began recipes are useful. 8y
