This book was my least favorite of the series. It was still good though and had a good storyline. This was about the time Chris‘s girlfriend passed away so it‘s totally understandable. A very difficult time for him. #SeriesLove2023 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

Definitely one of my favorite series.

I found this one a bit slow and with a lot less of the usual gore and imaginatively graphic crime scenes I have come to expect. Much of it was just plain old detective work. I suppose that is is to be expected given the tremendously tragic event that Chris had to deal with while writing it. It was still a good thriller though, and the explosive ending more than made up for the lackluster start.

I love this dedication - “We weren‘t prepared.”

One problem with reading the newest book from your favorite author so soon is that you have to wait forever for another one! As always I loved this book in the Robert Hunter series and I cant get enough! I want more already! 😩

“Written in Blood” is the eleventh book in the series featuring LAPD Detective Robert Hunter. It‘s highly detailed and descriptive, it‘s super fast paced and made for a really enjoyable read. It‘s 5 stars from me!
