I actually read the second book this #NOLA based series first—& I‘m glad I did because I didn‘t enjoy this one as much. Fake dating can be such a fun trope, but this set-up between Hollyn and Jasper fell a little flat to me. I think I expected this to be a funnier rom-com than it was… I appreciated the Tourette‘s representation here, but this was more an agreement to be friends with benefits rather than really fake dating…also a little too steamy!

Characters were amazing: they had realistic problems and you could relate to them. I loved their character arc as well.

This book was really sweet but also somehow inspirational. I loved the message of this book.

This book didn't have unnecessary drama and that made me so happy.

This was a very sweet and sexy romantic comedy. I actually had initially ignored this one because, wow that cover is bad. I heard some good buzz though and am glad I picked it up. A writer with Tourette‘s and an improv actor/barista with ADHD meet cute and adorable fun ensues. Definitely recommend 4⭐️ for a few twists that mildly annoyed me. A free space read for #bookspinbingo #romantsy

I don‘t usually like romance reads, but this one worked for me. The story is a pretty typical fake dating turned love story, but the characters felt real and believable. It gets pretty graphic in a few places, so if that‘s not your thing be forewarned. It was fun, with charming characters. #hoopla

Book 41 A light, fun rom-com. Awkward, shy anonymous reviewer who has Tourette's (a nod to Loren for normalizing this disorder) meets a gregarious actor who helps her learn how to be in front of people. It was more enjoyable and feminist-friendly than the description implies. I didn't like that some of the protagonist's reviews were included, though, because they were definitely not edgy and well-written, as touted. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was such a good contemporary romance! I was glad to see a protagonist with Tourette's (excellent rep according to one of my best friends who also has it) and I thought the character development for both Hollyn and Jasper was really well done. The book probably could have been a little shorter but I was all in for the fake dating-adjacent arrangement, the characters, and their sweet (and very steamy!) chemistry.

AkashaVampie I have this on audio... I really need to get to it. 4y

Yes & I Love You by Roni Loren is a cute romantic comedy about achieving confidence and fighting for what you want. Hollyn doesn‘t have a lot of confidence and tries to stay away from most people. She has Tourette ‘s syndrome which causes her to think that‘s all people see when they look at her.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and Sourcebooks Casablanca.

Hollyn Tate's alter ego is the snarky and insightful "Miz Poppy" who has an amazing entertainment column online. In real life, Hollyn is just as snarky and insightful, but she also deals with social anxiety and Tourettes which makes every social interaction a struggle for her. When she meets Jasper Deares, the new coffee guy/aspiring actor at her office space, sparks fly and her anxiety goes through the roof. A lovely and emotional #romantsy.

CarolynM Ooh! That sounds good. Stacked🙂 4y

I started this ARC last night but my head hurt so didn't get very far. This book features a heroine with Tourette syndrome.
