I thought I would love this but this wasn't really great addition to the series. Yes this was a cute story but didn't give much new information or so...

Characters had their childlish game going on with each other and even though these books can sometimes be a bit absurd they still manage to be funny. Well. Let me introduce an exception. This wasn't even funny! There were really interesting secondary characters.

This had many balls and travelling by carriages so there was a historical atmosphere which was a positive thing.

I felt for characters, they had touching backstories and it was nice to see how they had went through those difficulties.

Beautiful book and there were some awesome landscapes to look at. This was somehow really peacuful and cute.

This really was worth reading but also a bit demanding book to read.

The world and atmosphere were so much more appealing in this book than in the first installment.

Story was interesting and there were some thrilling moments as well. Pacing was a bit slow, especially during the first 50 % of the book.

Main characters were likable and I even liked romance in this book. But there were still too many secondary characters that we knew almost nothing about.

I liked mysteries and puzzles in this one, but there were so many twists that it made everything a little hard to follow.

I liked this one more than the first one, this had action from the first pages and was easier to read.

Little man is killing it with his new day care routine so I finally sat down to finish this short story!

I'm not sure how I feel about it. Most of the story is a bit tedious but that ending....wow! I'm still a little confused but wasn't expecting that at all.

I have mixed feelings about this book. Some characters were lovely but then there were some almost identical with each other.

My biggest disappointment with this book was that I didn't get that “old times feel“ at all.

This was really light and entertaining to read but I didn't really like the plot. I really loved the beginning of the book but it went worse at some point.

Clwojick I just read this earlier in the week, after watching the first season of Bridgerton…. Ended up liking the show more than the book. Lol 2w
PageShifter @Clwojick I can understand that, the book wasn‘t really special and I have heard so much good about the show 2w

Becky made me SO frustrated with all her lies. I just wanted her to grow up and tell the truth. But still all characters and this story was so light and comfortable, perfect to read after heavy and dark book.

I enjoyed reading this book so much even though there was quite much to take in. This book was cute, entertaining and I loved it with all it's absurdness.

Clwojick I agree! As much as the MC annoys me with all her lies, these are still perfect comfort reads. 💖 3w

I really love how morally grey characters are. Maquin haven't got enough chapters! At the beginning of the book there were but then there weren't. I wasn't that invested in every pov.

This was again a dark story so not the easiest book to read. I would have loved to have a bit more action, like the previous book had.

This was again an epic book and worth reading.

Well, I have officially found the first book I refused to listen to over the car speakers 🤣 I have a hard time reviewing this. There are a lot of inconsistencies in the book that I think get glossed over by the shock of the graphic sex and sexual thoughts involving a minor (seriously, it's pretty much every page). The sex didn't bother me as I think it was necessary to really show the darkness inside Celeste's picture perfect exterior ⬇️⬇️⬇️

FantasyChick Did I think it was a bit much? At times but I really think it shows just how much a person can be consumed by this. A predator is always after their prey. Don't think they can just shut it off, which was highlighter by Celeste herself when she was reasoning why she would never want children. I also appreciate that we really saw her narcissism toward every person and situation she encountered. Everything was about her and her needs. 3w
FantasyChick The other thing I really appreciated about this book is that is really puts forward the double standard between male sex offenders and female. If this was about a male teacher and his female student it would have had a totally different outcome. The female student is a victim and the teacher is a monster where, in this case, a young, attractive (yes...looks matter more than you think) woman is guilty of giving in to every teenaged boys' fantasy 3w
FantasyChick It's a slap on the wrist versus a lifetime of condemnation for the villains and a lifetime of humiliation, guilt and judgement versus a round of high fives for the victims. I think this is something that happens way more than we realize and the punishments are too lenient. This was definitely the case of this book and the teacher it was based on. Good on the author for putting it out there. I can't imagine getting into her mindset to write. 3w

FantasyChick Or maybe I'm looking too much into it and it's really just a dirty book about a dirty teacher 🤷‍♀️ Either way, I couldn't stop listening but it made feel really icky to do it. 3w
Clwojick I did this one on audio too, and I would NOT use anything other than headphones for this one. 😅🤭🫣 3w
Clwojick I could just imagine the person in the next car over at the red light. 3w
